Textures & Frames

Textures & Frames

Happy Wednesday! I have another fall card for you today – and one coming on Friday. This was a fun one using the Textures & Frames Sale-a-bration Stamp Set. Remember, Sale-a-bration ends tomorrow, so if there’s a product or two that you love, order before it’s gone forever!

Textures & Frames, Biggest Wish, Gorgeous Leaves, Stampin' Up!

This is so simple. I used Cinnamon Cider, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, and Bumblebee Classic Ink to stamp the solid rectangles (that now look like popsicles to me) on Very Vanilla Cardstock. Next I stamped the open rectangle around each one using Early Espresso Classic Ink.

I ran a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Early Espresso Cardstock through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Bumblebee card base. The leaf is from the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle – the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set and Intricate Leaves Dies.

First, I inked the leaf in Bumblebee Ink, then used Sponge Daubers to add a little Dajun Craze and Cinnamon Cider Ink onto the stamp before stamping on Very Vanilla Cardstock. I used the coordinating leaf from the Intricate Leaves Dies to cut it out.

The sentiment background is also from the Gorgeous Leaves Stamp Set. I stamped the woodgrain image on a Very Vanilla Cardstock scrap in Crumb Cake Ink, then loosely cut it out with Paper Snips. I stamped thanks, from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set, in Early Espresso, then layered the stamped images to the card,

This idea came from my friend Christy. She made a similar card for a challenge, but she used the circle stamps. It was stunning!

I have been on a card making marathon this week. You’d think it was because World Card-Making Day is coming up on Saturday, and that would be a good reason. But I’m trying to have enough projects to blog while I’m gone. I usually take bags and bags of paper, stamps, ink, and more, but this year, I’m not. There’s not a lot of room to stamp in the condo we rent, and I always need one thing I have forgotten. So to avoid frustration, I’m leaving everything at home. That’s the plan, anyway. We’ll see if I carry through closer to our departure date!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day – and don’t forget to stop by on Friday for a BS&J challenge!
