Peaceful Cabin in Autumn
Hello, Everyone! One of my very favorite bundles in the Stampin’ Up!® July-December Mini Catalog is Peaceful Cabin. It includes the Peaceful Cabin Stamp Set and Cabin Dies. By ordering the stamps and dies in a bundle, you can save 10%.
At first glance, you can see that the Peaceful Cabin Stamp Set is designed to be a winter set. There is a stamp to add snowflakes and there’s snow on the roof and around the cabin, There are other clues as well. I’ve used this for winter cards. You can see one here. But it’s easy to use this bundle for other seasons as well. Here’s one I made for summer. And for today, here’s a fall version.
Before the July-December Mini Catalog ends, I’ll be sure to make a spring version! But I decided since today was the second day of fall, I should have a fall theme.
First, I stamped the cabin on Very Vanilla Cardstock in Early Espresso Classic Ink and cut it out using the Cabin Dies. Then I colored the roof and chimney with Cajun Craze ,Crumb Cake, and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. The fence is stamped on Crumb Cake Cardstock with Gray Granite Ink. I die-cut these oueces with the Cabin Dies as well.
I blended Balmy Blue and Mossy Meadow Classic Ink on another Very Vanilla panel using my Blender Brushes. While I was at it, I sponge a little around the bottom of the cabin die-cut.
I knew I wanted some beautiful trees with fall leaves, so I die-cut the trunks and branches from Early Espresso Cardstock, and the leaves from the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper. (DSP). I love how all these products coordinate so well!
All that was left was to layer all the die-cuts to the blue and green inked card stock. The cabin was the last element I added, and I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it up a bit. I added this to a Crumb Cake card base.
Mike took some pictures of my mom’s house with his drone last weekend. She has a beautiful woods behind her house. It’s not a cabin and she doesn’t have a fence, but this reminds me so much of one of the photos he took.
If you don’t have this bundle on your shopping list, you need to add it. It’s a perfect all season bundle! It’s also one of the bundles you can add to your starter kit – free! – if you sign up to be a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator during Summer Sale-a-bration (SAB). But hurry! SAB ends September 30. After that, you have to pay to get the Peaceful Cabin Bundle (and all other bundles being offered free during SAB))
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
