Penguin Place
Hello, friends! I am so excited about my card for today, because I finally ordered the Penguin Place Bundle from the Stampin’ Up!® July-December Mini Catalog. Many years ago, my older brother and his family moved to Butler, PA, so they are all Pittsburgh Penguins fans. My niece has a birthday later this month, so I’m sure Mom or I will use the Penguin Place Bundle for her card. The bundle includes the Penguin Place Stamp Set and Penguin Builder Punch, and you save 10% if you order the bundle instead of each item separately.
Before I added anything, I used a Blender Brush to add some Pool Party Classic Ink to the center of the 4″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White Cardstock. Next I stamped some of the snowflakes from the Penguin Place Stamp Set, also in Pool Party Ink, around the card.
I punched the penguin from Basic White, Basic Black, and Pumpkin Pie Cardstock using the Penguin Builder Punch. Before I assembled it, I stamped the eyes and beak using Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. On a scrap of Basic White Cardstock, I stamped the cap, then fussy cut it.
I wanted a back drop for the penguin, so I decided on snowflakes. I used the So Many Snowflakes Dies and the Be Dazzling 6″ x 6″ Specialty Paper from Sale-a-bration. You can select this beautiful, glittery paper FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration – but hurry! It ends September 30, 2021.
After I adhered the snowflakes to the Basic White layer, I assembled the penguin and popped him up over the snowflakes using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, I added the sentiment in Pool Party Ink.
There are so many fabulous products available during Sale-a-bration – and they are all free with a qualifying order. Don’t miss out! Plan to order now.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
