Biggest Wish with Pansy Petals
How can it be August already? Christmas is less than five months away. Mike and I will be celebrating birthdays in a month. Where did 2021 go? I was thinking it was still around April.
I hope you took advantage of the amazing Designer Series Paper (DSP) sale in July. I love the Stampin’ Up!® Designer Series Papers, don’t you? Every year they get better!
For today’s card, I used the Pansy Petals DSP. The floral patterns are so beautiful, and the opposite sides are stripes. gingham, and lovely non-floral patterns that are very versatile for all genders and ages.
While my card today is simple, I used dies, so it’s not really a “simple stamping” card, but it’s still very easy to create.
The past few weeks have been crazy, so I’ve opted for quick cards. If you had told me this would be my life several years ago, I would have scoffed. But now? I love simple cards that can be made in a few minutes.
For this card, I used the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut the Pansy Petals DSP. I added this to a Soft Succulent card base. Next, I used a smaller die from the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut a piece from Evening Evergreen Cardstock. I stamped hello from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set in Whisper White Craft Ink. My plan was to stamp the sentiment over the Whisper White sentiment in Polished Pink, then emboss with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder. It wasn’t as bright as I would have liked, so instead, I simply stamped in the white ink then embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
I looped a piece of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon to the card base, then added the stamped/embossed sentiment over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals. And, finally, I added a few Pastel Pearls to the card.
Tomorrow is the first day of the July-December Mini Catalog Sales Period and the summer Sale-a-bration! I’m so looking forward to earning free sets, aren’t you? My BOGO sale also starts Tuesday. For every dollar you spend on retired products, you can select $.50 on products from Stampin’ Up!® catalogs – free! So spend $100 on retired products and select $50 from the annual or mini catalogs or online products free. You’ll also earn a free Sale-a-bration product at $50. So you’ll definitely want to snap up those sets you missed when they were current in the catalogs!
