Strong of Heart
Today, I have another sneak peek for you! Ever since I’ve been a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator, Stampin’ Up!® has given support to different causes. In the July-December Mini Catalog, the “Make a Difference” set is the Strong of Heart Stamp Set. For every set purchased, Stampin’ Up!® will donate $3 to support heart health. This is an important issue for me, because many of my family members have heart issues. For that reason, this set was on my first order.
This card came together so quickly and easily. As a reminder, though, the smallest envelope you can mail in the US is 3-1/2″ x 5″, so this is a little small. However, it fits nicely in a Medium Envelope if you want to send it through the USPS.
To make this card, cut a 4″ x 8″ Poppy Parade card base, and score it at 4″ to create a 4″ x 4″ card. Next, run a 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ piece of Basic Black Cardstock through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine using the new Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder (available August 3). Top that with a 3″ x 3″ piece of Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper (DSP; also available August 3).
On a piece of Basic White Cardstock, stamp the heart outline with flowers stamp from the Strong of Heart Stamp Set in Smoky Slate Classic Ink. Of course, since it’s in the upcoming mini, this set will be available August 3. In fact, everything on this card – except for the card stock, adhesive, and ink/Stampin’ Blends – will be available August 3.
The next step is to add color. Stamp the heart filler in Blushing Bride Classic Ink, then color the flowers using Poppy Parade and Just Jade Stampin’ Blends.
There’s no die for this set, but it’s simple to fussy cut the image. When you’re finished, adhere to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used the new Seasonal Labels Dies for the sentiment. These will be available separately or as part of the Christmas Season Bundle. As always, if you order the bundle, you’ll save 10% over the price of the individual items.
Even though it doesn’t really say, “Christmas,” you’ll want to add this set to your order in August. You’ll be making a difference and you’ll have a stamp set that is perfect for encouraging notes all year long!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Check back on Friday for another Stamp Off! Challenge with Jackie, Susan, and me. Have a lovely day!
This is so pretty. The colors and layers are really lovely.

Thanks, Susan! You have inspired me with the black/white/color combo! (I really do enjoy fussy cutting. Unless there are 50 to cut out.)
