Summer Peaceful Cabin

Summer Peaceful Cabin

Welcome to a new week! Can you believe it’s almost August? Speaking of August…If you have received your July-December Mini Catalog, you may be wondering why you can’t order items from the Mini Catalog yet. It’s a little confusing, but there’s a simple explanation. Due to shipping delays because of the COVID-19 virus, many products from the mini catalog and the summer Sale-a-bration Brochure weren’t available in June for the demonstrator preorder. And, sadly, some products wouldn’t even be available in July. So to avoid a lot of frustration, Stampin’ Up® decided to delay the mini and Sale-a-bration for a month. So you can order from the mini catalog and enjoy Sale-a-bration benefits beginning August 3, 2021.

That said, I love the new mini catalog! I already posted my first Peaceful Cabin card, and you can see it here. Here’s another card using the Peaceful Cabin bundle – but a spring/summer version.

Peaceful Cabin, Stampin' Up!

This was so simple to create. I stamped the cabin image using Soft Suede Classic Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I used Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends to fill in the color on the cabin, except for the chimney. I used Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends for that.

Next, I added color using Old Olive and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends for the grass and sky. Alas, my Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends have been used a lot and need to be replaced, so the sky was a little pale. No problem; I used my Blending Brushes and some Misty Moonlight Classic Ink to add more color to the sky. I love how it looks just like our sky today; it’s been a little stormy in Virginia.

I used the Cabin Dies that coordinate with the Peaceful Cabin Stamp Set to die-cut some evergreens from Shaded Spruce Cardstock. When you bundle the Peaceful Cabin Stamp Set and Cabin Dies, you’ll save 10%.

The clouds were die-cuts from the Majestic Mountain Dies (that coordinate with the Mountain Air Stamp Set) using Basic White Cardstock.

I’m not sure how I’ll use this card yet, so I left off a sentiment. But there’s plenty of room inside for a message, or even a small sentiment on the front of the card.

I added the stamped layer to a Misty Moonlight layer, then to an Old Olive card base.

I hope your week is off to a great start! Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
