Peaceful Cabin

Peaceful Cabin

Happy Wednesday, my friends! This may be a shorter post than normal; I’m falling asleep as I type – and it’s only 7:30 p.m. Our little Pug (Max) had some intestinal issues last night, so he was up every two hours wanting to go outside. Just about the time we’d get to sleep, he was ready to go back out. And the second (or maybe third) time, we accidentally set off the house alarm, so it was a very exciting night. And, frankly, Mike & I are much too old for that much excitement.

I think I mentioned that I got my “July-December” Mini Catalog preorder and Summer Sale-a-bration “pre-earn” order last week. I’ve been having so much fun with it! One of the first bundles I used was Peaceful Cabin. It’s part of the Peaceful Place Suite – which includes the Peaceful Cabin and Cabin Dies, Snowy White Velvet Sheets, Timber 3D Embossing Folder, Subtle Shimmer Sequins, White Glittered Organdy Ribbon, and Peaceful Place 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). Everything in the bundle just says, “Snowy Woods,” and I was hoping that using it would trick my mind into thinking the weather was cooler than it really is. It didn’t work, but I still enjoyed playing with it.

Peaceful Cabin, Stampin' up!

Doesn’t that just make you want to sip hot cocoa by the fire with a good book? Well, maybe not in July…

I used lots of product from the new mini on this card – the Silver Foil (there are three sheets – a light, a medium, and a dark silver), the Peaceful Place DSP (so gorgeous with the gray, black, and silver color palette),the Peaceful Cabin Bundle, and the Starlit Punch. I had so much fun making this card!

You will notice that I don’t have a product list. Since the only products used on the card that are available right now are the Basic White and Basic Gray Cardstock, some Classic Stampin’ Pads, and some Stampin’ Blends, I didn’t make a list. But beginning August 3, you’ll be able to add all these products and much, much more to your shopping list.

And now – just a little explanation. This mini is called the “July-December Mini Catalog.” But if it’s July, why can’t everyone order? Because of all the shipping nightmares the past eighteen months, many of the mini and Sale-a-bration products hadn’t made it to the Distribution Center yet. Stampin’ Up!® is aware of how frustrating it is to want to buy something but not have it available, so to ease our pain (and theirs!), they moved the mini start date to August 2, 2021. I was actually pleased about this, because it gave me more time to focus on the new annual catalog. I tend to forget about it when the new minis come out, so I was happy to be able to give it my full attention for an extra month!

I hope you have a beautiful day! Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy.

Tee Hee. Any age is too old for taking a dog out every two hours! Beautiful card. I love the way you’ve layered elements and added little color details to the cabin

This is gorgeous, Buffy. Although I am so happy not to be dealing with snow right now, it does seem to cool things off.

Poor Max. I hope he is better today!

Thanks, Susan! I’m also happy not to be dealing with snow. It’s fun when you can stay home until it melts, but the shoveling, driving, walking (falling!) isn’t fun. And Max is much better, thanks!!

You know how I love scenic stamps, and this is no exception! You set the scene perfectly with the cabin in the woods. 🙂 I hope that your Max is feeling better so that you can get some sleep!
