Beauty of Friendship

Beauty of Friendship

Welcome back, my friends! I am so excited for the upcoming weekend – and it has already started off with a bang! As a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator, I got to preorder products from the 2021 July-December Mini Catalog. What fun! I cannot wait to get my order on Tuesday. And since Summer Sale-a-bration (SAB) is coming in August, we also got to pre-earn SAB products. It’s going to be an awesome time!

This morning I got to hang out with Amelia for a few hours. I gave her several options of things we could do, and her choice was to visit Mimi (my mom; Amelia’s great-grandmother). Mom was so surprised and we had a fabulous time. A tree fell over our fairy garden, so we moved all the fairies and their belongings into the house so they would be safe. It was so fun to spend time with those two. Mom’s imagination is as active as Amelia’s!

This weekend, we’ll be heading to the mountains for the holiday. I think Wesley, Katelyn, and Amelia will be visiting as well. I’m sad that Jon and Adrianna can’t come down as well. There will be fireworks, and Jon’s dog doesn’t do well with fireworks. And, of course, our Max would try to start a fight with him. Max thinks he’s the biggest dog on the planet, but he’s not even close!

It’s been so extremely hot and humid this past week, but it’s a little cooler today since we’ve had some rain. So cool, in fact, that it almost reminds me of fall. While I was looking through my Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper (DSP), I fell in love with the fall design, so I decided to use a piece for this card.

Beauty of Friendship, Stampin' Up!

Doesn’t that remind you of a rainy fall day? I can almost smell the crisp, cool air and wood smoke from the fireplaces and stoves. Days like that are my favorites, because I usually curl up with a good book.

For this card, I added the DSP to Misty Moonlight card base. Then I die-cut the tree trunk/branches from Early Espresso Cardstock and the leaves from Basic White Cardstock using the Beautiful Trees Dies. These dies coordinate with the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set, and, of course, you can bundle them to save 10%. The Beauty of the Earth DSP is also one of the DSP designs on sale through August 2. See them all here.

After I cut the leaves, I sponged “fall” colors over them – Cajun Craze, Merry Merlot, Bumblebee, and a little Calypso Coral. I added the die-cut tree and leaves to the card, then added the sentiment from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set.

This card is super simple, but perfect for a mentor, a birthday (with a different sentiment!), or more. It could even be a sympathy, get well, or thinking of you card. This bundle is very versatile!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day – and a wonderful weekend.
