“Turtle-y” Loved
When Amelia saw the Turtle Friends Stamp Set in the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog, she couldn’t wait to get it. Since I didn’t have a lot of “cute” stamps, I agreed to order it. Of course, I bundled it with the Turtle Punch to save 10%. I’ve had such fun playing with it. Here’s my latest.
This card is perfect for a child, but I think anyone would get a smile from it. I cut a 3″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Just Jade Cardstock. I used the Stamparatus “Hinge Technique” to stamp the sentiment down the right side in Evening Evergreen Classic Ink, skipping the next to last hinge. The Just Jade Cardstock is layered to a Misty Moonlight card base.
I stamped the turtle-y loved sentiment and the turtle and shell on Basic White Cardstock using Evening Evergreen Classic Ink for the sentiment, Just Jade Classic Ink for the turtle, and Evening Evergreen for the shell. I colored the turtle with Daffodil Delight and Just Jade Stampin’ Blends. I used the Turtle Punch to punch the turtle, but instead of punching his eye from Basic Black Cardstock, I colored it with a Basic Black Stampin’ Blend. So easy!
I added the turtle to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The turtle has “accessories” you can stamp – party hat, bow tie. confetti, and more. I may add a couple of the baby turtles later.
It was fun to step out of my “flower comfort zone” and use this cute little turtle. I’m looking forward to stamping with Amelia so she can create with this bundle. She’ll love it, I know, but her summer is really busy. She may have to wait until fall or a rainy day, because if she’s here on warm, summer days, she wants to swim, of course.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

I love this card. It really is cute. I am in the same boat as you. Lots of flowers (my favorite) but not a lot of grandchildren images. It is on my next ordering list.
