Artistic Expressions in Ink
I can’t believe this week is over already! It has flown by, don’t you think? This isn’t new. I feel this way every Friday.
We had our local Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Gathering last week, and I was scheduled to bring the Make & Take Project. I wanted to use products from the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog, but since we were meeting in person and via Zoom, I had to make the project extra simple. I chose the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Artistically Inked Bundle.
I love this card. It was inspired by the card on the front cover of the 2021-2022 Annual Stampin’ Up! Catalog and uses 3/4 of the elements from the Expressions in Ink Suite. It was also simple to adapt to other floral images in case demos attending virtually didn’t have the Artistically Inked bundle. Here’s how to create this card.
First, cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the Expressions in Ink DSP. I love, Love, LOVE this DSP. Many of the designs look like “alcohol ink backgrounds,” which I love. But besides that, it’s just really, really gorgeous.
Next, die-cut the floral spray from the Artistic Dies using Just Jade Cardstock.
On Basic White Cardstock, stamp the flower image from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set in Polished Pink Classic Ink. Then stamp the flower center in Daffodil Delight Classic Ink and the leaves in Soft Succulent Classic Ink. Die-cut the flower and leaves using the Artistic Dies. (Just a reminder – the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and the Artistic Dies can be bundled to save 10% of the price of ordering them individually. And you want to save money, right? Because then you can buy more products!!)
Without adhering, layer the flower, the Just Jade floral die-cut, and the Soft Succulent leaves on the Expressions in Ink DSP. When you’re happy with the placement, stamp the sentiment from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set in Polished Pink. (Tip: Use the Stamparatus for perfect placement and to be sure your sentiment is aligned perfectly.)
Starting with the DSP, adhere your products to a Basic White Thick Cardstock card base. Add a piece of the Just Jade/Gold Ribbon to your card for a final touch of color and gold.
This is such a simple card to create, but it packs a wallop of wow, don’t you think? It’s another card that uses the DSP to make the creative statement.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Thanks, Susan! This is actually almost straight from the front of the catalog. I made a few changes, but not many.
