All Dressed Up
Happy Wednesday, my friends! I have a fun and super easy card for you today. I was playing with the Suite & Tie Dies from the Stampin’ Up! January-June Mini Catalog, but I needed a Mother’s Day card. So this is what happened.
I started with a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper (DSP). Next, I cut a “collar” from the DSP using two Layering Circles Dies. I used the smaller of the two circle dies to cut the opening from the DSP, then adhered the round collar to the DSP. This was all added to a Basic White card base.
I used the Suit & Tie Dies to create the opening and pocket from Basic White Cardstock and the buttons from Silver Foil Sheets. I adhered the buttons with Mini Glue Dots and the pocket with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flower is from the Dressed To Impress Stamp Set. I stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, then colored with Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. I die-cut the flower using the All Dressed Up Dies that coordinate with the Dressed for Success Stamp Set, and adhered it to the pocket with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. So easy!!
I may go back and add a necklace using Basic Pearl Jewels. I will probably color them with Stampin’ Blends so they’ll stand out a bit. My mom loves pearls, so I feel like I should add them!
Sale-a-bration/Mini Catalog News
Now – I have a bit of news for you. I have been telling you that Stampin’ Up! is having a second Sale-a-bration (SAB) in July and August. While we are having a second SAB, it won’t be in July and August. Between Covid and the ship that was stuck in the Suez Canal, shipping has been a nightmare! Most of the products for Sale-a-bration and the July-December Mini Catalog are seriously delayed. That would make for a very sad SAB, don’t you think? So Stampin’ Up! has moved the second SAB to August and September, and the July-December Mini Catalog will also begin in August. I’m excited about this, because it will give me more time to focus on products in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog, which goes live on May 4.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Be sure to come back Friday for another challenge with Susan, Jackie, & me. Have a lovely day!

Buffy, this is absolutely wonderful. I love your collar, which matches so many women’s shirts. The little pocket with purple flowers just makes this card. Such great thinking outside the box.
