Just Want To Say…

Just Want To Say…

Welcome back, my crafty friends! I had such a lovely weekend. Mike, Jon, and I did some yard work for Mom on Saturday and I planted the onions I forgot about last Wednesday. Then Mike & I went to Wesley’s to help with the bath renovation. (I love having all my kids close by!) Well, Mike helped. I played with Amelia. We spent most of the time making a fairy house. To be honest, I had no idea how to make a fairy house, but I would never tell Amelia that. I figured we should start like all houses start – with the foundation. After we got the foundation finished, the rest was a piece of cake! We decorated with pear blossoms, flowers, wildflowers, and more. I’m sure all the local fairies will want to hang out at that house.

Sunday, Mike & I took a lovely walk, and then I cleaned the deck furniture. I had heard of this amazing cleaner, so I decided to give it a try. As soon as I opened it, I guessed the secret ingredient. It was 95% bleach. Still, our many years-old outdoor furniture will be around and looking good for another year!

Jon, my older son, and I have been having movie dates for the past few years. Every time a new Star Wars movie came out, we’d go see it together. Sadly, they’re finished for now. Still, we needed to have a date night, so we decided on Sunday night. The movie we wanted to see was full at the theater and it wasn’t streaming. Still, he, Mike, & I had a wonderful time watching another movie and enjoying nachos. I have to say, I have found another benefit of the COVID year. Movies at home are way more fun than movies in the theater for many reasons. You can pause if you need a drink refill, or rewind if you missed something. You can watch with your pets, and you can eat anything you want. And you don’t have strangers around you. I may never go to the theater again!

Last week I mentioned that my Basic Pattern Decorative Masks card for the blog challenge was the second I had made. Here’s the original one.

Art Gallery, Stampin' up!

The colors in this card make me happy! I used Magenta Madness, Granny Apple Green, and Mango Melody Classic Inks and a Blending Brush with one of the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks to create the background on Basic White Cardstock for this card. It was so easy!

I used the Floral Gallery Dies from the January-June Mini Catalog and the Art Gallery Stamp Set for the rest of this card. Of course, I bundled the stamps and dies to save 10%. Good news! The stamps and dies are carrying over to the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog, but if you want to enjoy the bundle price, you need to order before June 30, because after that the products will be “unbundled.”

I die-cut just want to say and the label from Basic Black Cardstock, then stamped thank you in Versamark on the die-cut label. I embossed the sentiment with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. A few Pastel Pearls completed the card.

I added the Basic White layer to Basic Black Cardstock, then to a Granny Apple Green card base.

This card would work for so many occasions. Simply switch labels and stamp Happy Birthday for a fun birthday card, But the other sentiments are also perfect for so many occasions – Thank You, Happy Birthday, Congratulations, You Are Lovely, Best Wishes, Sorry, good luck. and I’m thinking of you! This stamp set is so versatile it covers almost every occasion.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

What a wonderful weekend (well, except for using bleach on anything but cards). That card is so vibrant and beautiful, set off by the black!

Lovely card. Thanks for the inspiration. Think I’ll borrow “The Princess Bride” from library and have a movie night.

What a wonderful sounding weekend you had (minus the bleach cleaning – ugh!). All of that fun & sun shows in this beautifully coloured, happy card 🙂
