Seaside View
Welcome back, crafting friends! I’m so excited for my UPS delivery today. My preorder from the new Stampin’ Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalog comes this afternoon. I can’t wait to show you the new In Colors and some of the other products I bought.
In the meantime, though, here’s a card using one of my favorite retiring sets, Seaside View. This is a fun set, and it’s a good one, especially if you like to color.
First, I stamped the image on Basic White Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored it with Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends, then die-cut with the Layering Circles Dies.
I cut a frame from another piece of Basic White Cardstock using the same circle die I used for the image, and one two sizes bigger. I adhered the stamped circle to a Seaside Spray card base, and the frame over the stamped image using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the seagulls using Basic Gray Cardstock.
The sentiment is from the Many Messages Stamp Set. There’s one stamp with lots of sentiments, and the coordinating Messages Die cuts them all at once. If you bundle the stamp and die, you can save 10%. I didn’t use the die for this card. I stamped the sentiment using Misty Moonlight Ink on Basic White Cardstock, then notched the edge with Paper Snips.
Creating this card made me even more ready for spring and warmer weather. It was quite warm a couple of weeks ago, but this past week was chilly again. We even had snow flurries all day on Thursday. I think it was God’s little April Fool joke! Still, Wesley, Amelia, and I braved the cold weather to visit one of our local attractions – Dinosaur Land. They have replicas of many types of dinos, and it’s so fun for kids. Since Miss Amelia’s newest interest is dinosaurs, it was a perfect trip to take with her. We all had so much fun.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

I love the way you set up this card Buffy. The diagonal of chair, sentiment and then birds. You coloring is perfect.
