Stamp Off with Decorative Masks
Welcome back, Stamping Friends! Today’s Stamp Off challenge is to use the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks. I had fun with this one!
I had another card made, but I wanted to do something a little “extra.” For this one, I used the polka dot mask and sponged Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive over the mask and onto Cherry Cobbler Cardstock. It was so easy (Amelia demonstrated this adhesive technique in the video in Wednesday’s post). I wanted to leave some spots blank, especially at the top and bottom. The one missing dot at the left center reinforces the “miss you” sentiment, don’t you think? This was totally on purpose, of course. (No, it really wasn’t. I had no idea what sentiment I was going to use when I started.)
After I was happy with the glue, I removed the mask and pressed the “glued” side of the card stock into Gilded Leafing. Using a Stamping Sponge, I removed the extra. So simple! Of course, if you’d rather, you can pat the mask/card stock with VersaMark, then use Heat & Stick Powder instead of adhesive.
I created a round frame using the Stitched Shapes Dies and Basic Black Cardstock. I cut another stitched circle from Vellum, then adhered it behind the circle frame. I die-cut “miss you” from Basic Black Cardstock using the Well Written Dies. The Well Written Dies and the Stitched Shapes Dies are retiring May 3, so order now if you love them!
I lost the dot for the “i,” so I used a Champagne Rhinestone. Maybe that’s where the missing dot from the background went. I added the Cherry Cobbler layer to a Basic Black card base.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
