Art Gallery Sneak Peek
Oh, my goodness! Late fall just jumped in over the weekend – blustery winds, “chilly” temperatures…I wasn’t ready! Ok, I guess the temperatures aren’t that chilly. It was in the very upper 40’s (at night) and 50’s during the day. (We’re talking Fahrenheit here, so don’t be concerned, my Celsius friends! It’s not that hot.) But that wind! It was crazy, but it blew a lot of leaves off the trees, so we can close out fall for the year.
But here’s the thing…Now that I have some products from the upcoming January-June Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog, I’m thinking spring. I know, I know. Spring is two seasons away. We’re still in fall, and then there’s winter to contend with. Hopefully now that 2020 is almost over (thank God!), winter in 2021 will be mild, but, who knows? Northwestern Virginia has been known to have winter weather in April. But we can only hope 2021 will be gentle. And more kind than 2020.
When I saw the Art Gallery Stamp Set in the Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog, I wanted it. Do I need more floral stamps? Yes, of course! I always need more floral stamps, because I can’t grow flowers, so I need to stamp them. Plus there are other amazing products in the Fine Art Floral Suite – the Art Gallery Bundle that includes the Art Gallery Stamp Set and Floral Gallery Dies, the Golden Gallery Designer Specialty Acetate, the awesome Gilded Leafing Embellishment, Fine Art 3/8″ Gold Ribbon, Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder, Heat & Stick Powder (can I hear a WOOOOHOOOOOO! that this is back?) and the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper. This is an awesome suite, and I ordered everything I could. The only thing I really needed but couldn’t get was the Gilded Leafing. (I stocked up on Heat & Stick when it was taken out of the catalog a few years ago.) But you can be sure that as soon as it’s available to purchase, it will be on my order!
Here’s the card I made with the Art Gallery Bundle, plus a few other Mini Catalog products.
First, I ran the Oh, So Ombre Designer Series Paper (DSP; a Sale-a-bration product available in January!) through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Before I added the paper to the folder, I inked the folder with some Rococo Rose Classic ink. That really brought out the texture in the folder.
Next, I stamped the Art Gallery flower with Merry Merlot Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Then I stamped the overlay image in Versamark Ink. If I could have ordered the Gilded Leafing, this is where it would go, but it wasn’t available for my order, so after I stamped in Versamark, I embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. It doesn’t show up well in the photo, but it’s gorgeous in person.
I stamped the leaf and stem using Mint Macaron Classic Ink. Then I die-cut the flower and stem/leaf with the Floral Gallery Dies. I added them to the DSP using Stampin’ Dimensionals, then added that layer to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Rococo Rose Cardstock. I wrapped a length of the Gold Fine Art 3/8″ Ribbon around the layers, then added them to a Mint Macaron card base.
I used the Many Messages Bundle for the sentiment. This bundle has one stamp and one die – but you end up with lots of sentiments! There are so many awesome sentiments, and the die cuts all of them at once. I love storing them so I can pull out the one I need when I need it. I inked the stamp with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (except for the heart and stars; I used Stampin’ Write Markers to color those), then die-cut with the coordinating Messenger Die. So fun! I used a thank you sentiment for this card.
I think you’ll love the new January-June Mini Catalog! If you want one, please be sure to ask for one in the comments – and make sure I have your mailing address.
Since most of the products used for this card won’t be available to customers until January, I’m not adding a product list to my “sneak peek.” But if you’d like to be able to order these products in December, think about joining my team of amazing demonstrators! You’ll have access to the preorder a month early, thousands of samples to enjoy, demonstrator only Facebook groups, plus so much more! You’ll also have access to my team meetings and Facebook group with lots of inspiration and fun ideas, plus technique videos. And did I mention you’ll make some awesome new friends? You can order $125 in products for only $99 plus tax, plus you get me and my awesome team to help guide you through your journey. What are you waiting for?
