One Sketch, Two Cards

One Sketch, Two Cards

Hi, Stamping Friends! I hope you had an amazing weekend. I was able to get into my craft room this weekend, and it was awesome! It was also a mess, so I spent a lot of time straightening it up. But I did make two cards. Here’s the first one.

Gather Together, Stampin' Up!

In October, Stampin’ Up!® is offering a 15% discount on selected Designer Series Paper (DSP). This card uses the Plaid Tidings DSP from the August – December Mini Catalog. I stamped the wheat/grass on Whisper White Cardstock using Mango Melody Classic Ink, then stamped the sentiment from the Gather Together Stamp Set in Cinnamon Cider.

I used the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut the four pieces of DSP, then adhered them to the stamped layer. I die-cut two leaves from Copper Foil using the Gathering Leaves Dies (bundle these with the Gather Together Stamp Set to save 10%!) and added them to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used a Mango Melody card base for this card. I love that the colors still say, “Fall,” but it’s a bright and cheery card.

Snowflake Wishes, Stampin' Up!

For this card, I used the Snowflake Wishes Bundle and Snowflake Splendor DSP. I love the Snowflake Splendor DSP. This was the first thing I bought from that suite. The colors are beautiful!

Again, I die-cut the square from the DSP using the Stitched Shapes Dies. Before I adhered them to the Whisper White Cardstock, I stamped the sentiment (from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set) in Balmy Blue. I like to do all the stamping before I adhere anything, just in case I mess up the stamping and need to use the other side of the cardstock. That happens more than I’d like to admit.

I diecut one of the snowflakes from the So Many Snowflakes Dies (again, bundle these with the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set to save 10%) using the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper. I added one of the Beaded Pearls to the center of the snowflake for a little more glitz.

These cards were so fun – and so simple! And I feel so frugal since I saved 10% on both bundles and 15% on both packs of DSP.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
