Prized Peony Birthday Card
Friday was my birthday – and we won’t talk numbers. My aunt turns her numbers around, so when she turned 82, she claimed she was 28. Of course, eventually, you reach a number you don’t want to turn around – like 29. Or 68. When I turn my number around, it’s a little over the age I got married, and, honestly, no one would believe it. Fortunately, my hair is just “turning gray,” and since we’ve been painting white walls, I can say, “Oh, no…it’s paint!” I actually did find some white paint in my hair the other day, and was very pleased when it came off. Or perhaps I pulled them out.
Anyway – I received some gorgeous birthday cards last week, and I’ll be posting them for you. Today’s card is from Sandy. Sandy will celebrate 10 years as a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator in November. She’s my first team member to reach that milestone, and I can’t wait to celebrate. I’m hoping we can all be together, but I have a Plan B in case we’re still meeting virtually. Sandy is a wonderful friend, an spectacular artist, and an amazing demonstrator. I am so happy that Stampin’ Up!® brought us together, because I can’t imagine life without my friend.
Here’s the card she sent me.
This card is so stunning, and the picture does not do it justice. There are so many gorgeous Gold Foil diecuts from the Forever Flourishing Dies, and that peony from Prized Peony is gorgeous. Sandy always adds special touches – like the Wink of Stella (that, of course, doesn’t show up in the photo) and the enamel dots. But look what happens when you open it.
It’s a twisted easel card, and all that gorgeous gold foil just pops when it stands up. Honestly, when I opened this card, it took my breath away.
Thank you so much, Sandy, for this beautiful card!
I can’t wait to show you the other cards I received. I am so humbled by the cards and gifts I received from my friends. They are the very best!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a beautiful day!
