Ornate Thanks

I am loving all of the new Stampin’ Up!® 2020-2022 In Colors! I keep thinking, “This one is my favorite,” but that changes each time I use a different color. For today’s card, I used four of the five new In Colors. The only one I didn’t use was Cinnamon Cider, and that’s not because I don’t like Cinnamon Cider; I used the colors in the Designer Series Paper (DSP) and that wasn’t one of them. Plus, I only had room for four.

I used the “Hinge Step Technique” for this card. I positioned the Thanks at the top of the frame (die-cut from Whisper White Cardstock using the Ornate Layers Dies), closed the Stamparatus to adhere the stamp to the plate, then stamped in Magenta Madness Classic Ink. I cleaned the stamp, moved the plate down one position, then stamped again in Bumblebee Classic Ink. Again, I cleaned the stamp, then moved down one more position and stamped in Just Jade. Finally, I repeated the cleaning, moving steps one more time, then stamped in Misty Moonlight.

I had considered stamping additional sentiments between the originals. There’s room for another Thanks between each if you move the paper a bit. I also thought about stamping some of the smaller script sentiments between the Thanks sentiments, like my friend, for everything, and you’re amazing. For now, I’ve decided to keep it like it is.

The 2″ x 5-1/2″ DSP strip is one of the Flowers for all Seasons designs. I love this DSP; the designs are beautiful. By cutting 2″ strips, I can get three cards out of one sheet.

Before I adhered the DSP to the Magenta Madness card base, I stamped some of the flowers from the Ornate Style Stamp Set in Magenta Madness on the card base. You can bundle the Ornate Style Stamp Set with the Ornate Layers Dies and save 10%. The Ornate Thanks stamp set can be bundled with the Ornate Borders Dies for a 10% savings.
