Ornate Garden Make & Take
Welcome to a brand new week with Stamping with Buffy! My first order from the entire 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog arrived last Monday, so I’ve had a blast playing with new products! I ordered a few new stamp sets and a couple bundles so I could use them for classes, but mostly I ordered ink and tools. I love the new Stampin’ Seal and Stampin’ Seal +. It’s so easy to use and holds beautifully! I also ordered the new Water Painters. They are very like the old Aqua Painters, except there’s a third wide brush. And they cost less! You’ll love them. And, of course, I ordered all the new In Color Classic Stampin’ Pads, Stampin’ Write Markers, and Stampin’ Blends (plus the new Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends). The hardest part is where to start! I have lots of new product projects to show you, but first, I have the Make & Take from our recent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Gathering.
I have a rather small team of eight first and second level demonstrators, but we have lots of demos in the area with uplines (those who “signed them up”) who are not in this area. My team meetings are open to any Stampin’ Up!® demonstrators – and those who would like more information about becoming one. We have picked up several demonstrators who aren’t “my downline” over the years, but I couldn’t be happier to have them join us! They all add something extra special to our gatherings. I’ve learned so much from them, and it’s just fun to gather together and share our experiences!
Of course, the past few months, we’ve held Zoom meetings, so we’ve had extra participation from members who are out of the area. One of my downlines, Rose, was responsible for the Make & Take for this month’s Zoom gathering.
I am so proud of Rose! She hasn’t been a demonstrator that long, but she has already achieved the title of Silver. And she is an awesome leader; she’s taught me more than a few things. Rose lives in Florida now. Most of our team is in Virginia and West Virginia. So Zoom meetings make it easy for Rose to join us.
Rose mailed everyone the basics for the Make & Take in June – Mint Macaron card base, Early Espresso Cardstock layer, Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper (DSP), and a Mint Macaron Ornate Layers Diecut (along with one of the Gilded Gems).
This was the DSP layer that Rose sent us.
When everyone held up their versions of the Make & Take, most had the already colored version on top of the card base and Early Espresso layer. But I really like the gold foil layer. I decided to use it instead.
I colored the DSP with Magenta Madness, Just Jade, Mint Macaron, Purple Posy, and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set in Early Espresso on the Ornate Layers Die-cut. Super easy! Since I’m committed to using more ribbon and DSP this year, I added a bow using the Just Jade Ribbon.
I am loving the new products in the 2020-2021 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. How about you? If you do not have a catalog, please let me know and I will send you one! In the meantime, you can see it online here.
