Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper

Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper

It’s time for another Stamp Off with Jackie, Susan, and me. This week, we’re showing you our favorite Designer Series Paper. My blog title, of course, gives mine away – it’s the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper (DSP)

While there are many Stampin’ Up!® DSP packs that I love, there’s always one design that I don’t care for as much as others. That’s sometimes a good thing, because when I love both sides of a sheet of DSP, it’s hard to use it and I tend to hoard it. But with the Peaceful Poppies DSP, there isn’t one design that I don’t care for as much. I love all the designs, all the colors, all the styles. So selecting that DSP pack was easy.

Stampin' Up!, So Sentimental, Peaceful Poppies

I had another card for this challenge, but it didn’t really showcase the DSP; there was only one small strip. I decided to let this paper do all the heavy lifting for this card. I cut the DSP to 4″ x 5-1/4″. I love the paper design with the sentiment, because it kind of looks like confetti falling, don’t you think?

After I added the paper to the Poppy Parade card base, I stamped the sentiment from the So Sentimental Stamp Set on Whisper White Cardstock. I used the Stamparatus, because I wanted to ink the stamp in Basic Black and Poppy Parade Ink. By using the Stamparatus, you can ink small areas of the stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers so you don’t accidentally mix colors. After I had it as dark as I wanted, I die-cut with the coordinating Stitched So Sweetly die. Remember – if you bundle the So Sentimental Stamp Set and Stitched So Sweetly Dies, you can save 10%. But hurry! This offer ends June 2, 2020.

I wanted one more layer under the sentiment, but I didn’t want to cover up the beautiful DSP. So I die-cut the second label from Vellum Cardstock and added it and the stamped layer to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

All of the products on the card (except the card stock, ink, and adhesive) are from the Stampin’ Up!® January – June Mini Catalog.

I’ve been using my Stampin’ Write Markers a lot lately, and I love to use them directly to a stamp with my Stamparatus. It’s frustrating, though, when you’re missing a color. If you join my team of Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrators, you can add the Many Marvelous Markers to your starter kit and pay only $99 plus tax. And you’ll still have a little bit extra for something small. Join during Sale-a-bration (SAB), and you’ll get a mini paper cutter, DSP Sampler, and an additional stamp set of your choice. On top of all that, shipping for the starter kit is free! It’s a great deal. The $99 starter kit is available year round, but the paper cutter, DSP sampler, and extra stamp set are only available when you joing during Sale-a-bration (through March 31). Wouldn’t you love to be part of my amazing team?

Of course, if you’d rather enjoy free SAB products, you’ll earn two Level 1 or one Level 2 if you order the Many Marvelous Markers during SAB. (Add an extra product or two to bump your order to $150 for even more fun, free products!)

Before you leave, check out Susan’s and Jackie’s blogs to see how they used their favorite paper.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Great minds, Buffy. The great thing about this DSP is you don’t have to add much to it. It can stand alone and still look beautiful!

I had to laugh this morning when I saw we all used the same paper and same dies. They work so well together, and, you’re right – you don’t really have to do anything except add a sentiment.

It’s a first, we all went for the same product. This is a lovely card Buffy. I always forget how great the vellum is, to help highlight card elements

I had to laugh along with everyone. I looked at your blog and my thought was “That dsp is MY favorite too, and if I were in the challenge there would have been two of us. Let me see what the others did…….” Wow, all three of you chose the same. Everyone seems to love that dsp. The reason is because it is so beautiful. Loved your card, Buffy, and Susan’s and Jackie’s as well. Now I have to go make more with that paper……..
