Dressed To Impress

Dressed To Impress

Happy Wednesday, Stamping Friends! Although I kept thinking Monday was Tuesday, and Tuesday was Wednesday, this week has gone by quickly. It’s been super busy, so that’s probably why.

Here’s a card I made on Monday. It uses some of my favorite products from the Stampin’ Up!® January-June Mini Catalog.

Dressed To Impress, Strong & Beautiful, Stampin' Up!

I don’t think I’m a “girly-girl.” I love make-up, but don’t wear a lot. I don’t usually dress up, but when I do, I love it. When I was growing up, I was more of a tomboy – climbing trees and playing with my brothers more than playing with dolls. I have almost always had short hair, because I just can’t make it do what I want to look stylish.

Still, I do like the Best Dressed Suite in the current Stampin’ Up!® Mini Catalog. The Best Dressed Designer Series Paper (DSP) is beautiful, and it has some of my favorite colors . The little Note Cards and Envelopes (with the scalloped edge on the envelope and watercolor wash on the note cards) are so adorable. But what sold me on the Dressed To Impress Bundle was the All Dressed Up Dies. There’s a bag! It can be a sleek and chic bag or more of a tote – it’s your choice.

While I may not wear a lot of makeup or dressy clothes or wear a fancy hairstyle, I am a sucker for a pretty bag! I’ll post some party favors using the bag soon. So, of course, I bought the bundle. And I saved 10%, because I bundled them. Instead of buying half of the bundle and then realizing I really do need the other part of the bundle and purchasing the other half later, I learned from my mistakes and bought the bundle. Don’t purchase separately and have remorse later. Just go ahead and get the bundle. You’ll thank me later.

For this card, I embossed the Pear Pizazz Cardstock with the new Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder and layered it to a Purple Posy card base. Next, I cut a piece of the Best Dressed DSP to 3″ x 4″, then notched the bottom to create a banner and layered it to the card.

I stamped the sentiment from the Strong & Beautiful Stamp Set on Whisper White Cardstock using Gorgeous Grape Classic Ink. I love this saying; it reminds me of my mom. I punched the sentiment with the Everyday Label Punch.

Tuxedo Black Memento Ink seemed a little too harsh for the soft colors in this card, so I used Basic Gray Classic Ink to stamp the lipstick. (Ok, you got me. I used Basic Gray because my Memento was packed for a class. But I do think the Basic Gray looks better!)

I colored the Lipstick with Lovely Lipstick (what else, right?) and Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends. I adhered the sentiment and lipstick using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This was such a fun card to make because I love coloring with Stampin’ Blends. And it’s a perfect card for just a note to a friend or for a birthday or a celebratory card (like for a job change or promotion).

When you place your order for this bundle, be sure to add the Best Dressed Note Cards. They are so adorable, and at 3″ x 3″, they’re perfect for gift tags, for tucking into lunch boxes, or leaving on co-workers’ desks. Simply stamp an image and sentiment and you’re finished!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

You don’t know how many times I have only purchased one half of a bundle and regretted it later. Wise wisdom! Cute card!

‘Just buy the Bundle’ is a mantra we all learn, isn’t it?! ha ha!! This is so cute – I’m looking forward to seeing more 🙂
