Happy 2020, my stamping friends! I hope your new year is full of peace, happiness, good surprises, and blessings!
I was playing around with the Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air and Waterfront Stamp Sets and created this fun sunrise. scene.
I stamped the trees from Mountain Air in Pretty Peacock Classic Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Then I stamped smaller trees from Waterfront, also in Pretty Peacock. Next, I stamped the mountains from Waterfront in Basic Gray Classic Ink, stamping off before stamping on the card front. Finally, I added the ground with another Waterfront stamp using Crumb Cake Classic Ink.
For the sunrise, I sponged some Crushed Curry, the Terracotta Tile, Rococo Rose, and Highland Heather over the sky. I added some morning clouds with a Waterfront stamp using Rococo Rose. And then I sponged Basic Gray over the mountains, trees, and ground to give it an early morning, not quite light look.
Sunrises always make me think of getting a new start. Each day is full of new opportunities and adventures – and since today is the start of a new day, month, year, and decade, I thought a morning card was very fitting!
Remember, while the Waterfront Stamp Set is available now, Mountain Air will not be available until January 3, unless you’re a demonstrator.
We’re having a wonderful time in the mountains. Mike came down on Saturday to do a few electrical things (putting up ceiling fans and lights) and cleaning up from the last construction weekend. I had promised to play for a local church service Sunday, and then Jon and I went to see the final Star Wars. The others had to work over the weekend, so we didn’t come down until Monday. I wouldn’t have missed my date with Jonny for anything in the world, though. It was so much fun! He and I have been seeing the newest Star Wars movies for several years, but now we’ll have to find something else to do together, I guess. I love that my kids still like to spend time with me. I am blessed!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. I hope 2020 is your best year ever!
