Mountain Air

Mountain Air

How can it already be December 30? It seems like 2019 just started and now it’s almost over. It’s true what “they” say – time does go much faster the older you get.

Since Mike & I will be in the mountains for the next few days, I thought using the new Mountain Air Stamp Set from the Stampin’ Up! January – June Mini Catalog would be perfect for today’s card.

Mountain Air, Stampin' Up!, Sending You Thoughts

Mountain Air is a reversible photopolymer stamp set, meaning you can stamp on both sides of the stamp. It coordinates with the Majestic Mountain Dies (I didn’t use these on this card). If you bundle the stamp set and dies, you can save 10% during the January-June Mini Catalog Sales Period.

For this card, I inked the tree skyline stamp with Shaded Spruce Ink, then stamped on Whisper White Cardstock. I decided some of the grass at the bottom of the stamp could be water ripples, so I colored the bottom third of the card using Pacific Point and Blueberry Bushel Classic Ink and an Aqua Painter.

Again using the Aqua Painter, I added a little Balmy Blue to the top of the card for a hint of sky. Finally I added the birds from the Mountain Air Stamp Set in Basic Gray.

My sentiment is from Sending You Thoughts, a Sale-a-bration set that you can get free with a $50 order. Remember, the Mountain Air and Sending You Thoughts Stamp Sets will not be available until January 3 unless you’re a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator. One of the benefits of being a demonstrator is we can preorder from catalogs before the sales period begins.

I’m looking forward to our time away in the mountains. Wesley, Katelyn, and Amelia are joining us for at least part of the time. Amelia and I have a lot of things planned. She has some LEGO sets we want to put together, and her first two Highlights Top Secret Adventures arrived last week, so we’re going to have so much fun! She’s been studying continents and visiting different countries via magic carpet in school, so she’s really excited about the kits. At least she was excited when we ordered them. But it was months ago and she’s five, so she may have forgotten about them by now. But she’ll remember when she sees them!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely (and safe) New Year’s Eve. Check back on New Year’s Day to see how I paired the Mountain Air and Waterfront Stamp Sets!
