Abstract Kindness
Amelia’s “Winter Flowers” color combination has me hooked! I seem to be gravitating to the Bermuda Bay/Coastal Cabana and Gorgeous Grape/Highland Heather pairing. In this card, I added some Blueberry Bushel as well.
I used the Stampin’ Up!® Abstract Impressions Stamp Set to make this card. I started with the Blueberry Bushel Flowers, stamping off two times for the most full flower stamp, stamping off once for the middle stamp, and full strength for the detailed one.
Next, I added the Highland Heather flowers, using Gorgeous Grape for the details. The leaves are stamped in Coastal Cabana. I am so glad Coastal Cabana made it into the core colors collection! It was one of my favorite In Colors years ago, and I kept all of my leftover cardstock and ink, hoping for it’s return.
The sentiment, also from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set, is stamped on Whisper White using Blueberry Bushel Classic Ink, and then die-cut with the Stitched Shapes Dies. I sponged the ednges with more Coastal Cabana Classic ink, then layered the stamped elements to a Highland Heather card base.
I am so looking forward to this weekend! Mike and I will be going to Hartford, CT, for a Stampin’ Up!® OnStage event. Well, I’m going to OnStage; Mike is going to work on his latest doctoral class. I think he only has a few more classes and he’ll be finished with two doctorates. Do you think he’s a bit of an overachiever? Maybe a little. I’m so proud of him, though.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Thanks, Jackie. (The sponging was to save card stock, of course!)
