Cheers!

Cheers!

Here’s a fun card I made using the Sip Sip Hooray Bundle (Sip Sip Hooray Stamp Set and Sip & Celebrate Dies) and Cheers Dies from the Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog.

Sip Sip Hooray, Holidays, Stampin' Up!

I got this idea from a card on Pinterest created by “Tasha.” I changed a few things, but I loved the Brick & Mortar embossed background and the fruity colors she used, so I kept those. (Yes, I know “Flamingo” is not a fruit. But this pink looks fruity.)

How-To

First, I stamped the glasses using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Next I added the drinks to the glasses and stamped the fruit on the Whisper White Cardstock using Granny Apple Green and Flirty Flamingo Classic Ink. And then I die-cut using the Sip & Celebrate Dies.

I embossed a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock with the Brick & Mortar 3-D Embossing Folder, then die-cut Cheers from Flirty Flamingo Cardstok using the Cheers Dies.

I decided to use some of the beautiful See a Silhouette Designer Series Paper (DSP) under the embossed piece. It has a hint of Flirty Flamingo and the way the Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy mix in this design, the green is very close to Granny Apple Green. I kept the DSP layer about 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ to show off the beautiful DSP, but the Granny Apple Green card base would still show a little.

Just for fun, I added a bit of the Shimmery Crystal Effects and Ice Stampin’ Glitter from the Holiday Catalog around the rim of the glasses. And then for a bit more sparkle, I dropped some of the Shimmery Crystal Effects over the front of the card and sprinkled the Ice Stampin’ Glitter over it.

Here’s a close-up of the glitter.

Don’t Be a Buffy

You can bundle the stamp set and dies through January 2, 2020 and save 10%. Or you can do like I did and totally miss the dies and bundle because they are on the next page. Then when your stamps are delivered, you wonder Stampin’ Up!® didn’t create dies for the clases and other elements in the stamp set. And then you look back at the catalog, say, “Oh, duh,” then order the dies separately at full price. Don’t be a Buffy. Order the bundle! I mean, as much as I enjoy fussy cutting, I do not want to fussy cut the olives, mint sprig, strawberry or any of the other images.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

I never realized they changed the brick EF until this card. How did I miss that? That Flamingo drink looks like a Cosmopolitan which is made from fruit so you are covered there. This is a very cute card!

Such a fun card! I thought that the brick background was done with a stencil & embossing paste! An ef is much easier, and less messy 🙂
