Stamp Off Color Challenge

Stamp Off Color Challenge

Welcome to another Friday Stamp Off! This week, we have a color challenge from Susan.

How gorgeous are those colors? I love Pretty Peacock, and Blushing Bride is my favorite pink. Mint Macaron is my “go-to” when I need a lighter green, so I really enjoyed this challenge.

Here’s my card.

Country Home, Stampin' up!

First, I stamped the pitcher and floral arrangement from the Stampin’ Up!® Country Home Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Then I colored the images with Mint Macaron, Lovely Lipstick, Ivory, and Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends.

After I fussy cut the images (sadly, there are no dies with this set), I decided to play a little. I love the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint in the Stampin’ Up!® 2019 Holiday Catalog. It is so much fun. Simply shake the bottle, squeeze a bit of the paint onto your image and heat. Easy! It’s perfect for snow, but also for cotton, popcorn, latté foam, and more. Be sure to add this to your next order so you’ll be ready for winter cards. (Oh – this would make great seafoam as well. So maybe order several bottles, just in case.)

Next, I die-cut a small rectangle from Blushing Bride Cardstock using the Stitched Rectangles Dies, and a larger stitched rectangle from one of the Pretty Peacock designs of the 2019-2021 In Color Designer Series Paper. The Blushing Bride layer looked a little plain, so I used a (retired) stipple brush to add some Blushing Bride ink to the card stock.

On the Mint Macaron card base, I repeatedly stamped one of the images from the Tasteful Textures Stamp Set in Mint Macaron Classic Ink. And then – everything was ready to put together. I popped up the Blushing Bride layer as well as the stamped images with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Thanks, from the Country Home Stamp Set is stamped in Pretty Peacock. And, because I love it so much, I added a few 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots in Pretty Peacock.

Please take a few minutes to check out how Jackie and Susan used this bautiful color combination.  The first thing I do on Stamp Off Fridays is check their blogs – sometimes even before coffee! (Really. That’s how much I love their creations!)

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Buffy, this is sooooo beautiful. The fact that you fussy cut and raised that central image just makes the card. Love the puffy snow, too
