Last Shoebox Swaps
Hi, Stamping Friends! This has been a whirlwind week. I always say, “…but next week, things should calm down.” And then one of my cousins posted this on her facebook page today.
I think this is probably true. Whenever I have a “light” week, I tend to load it up with things I’ve been putting off. Still, I’d rather be busy than just sitting around, wouldn’t you?
Today, I have the final two shoebox swaps from our even two weeks ago. They’re both fall cards, and so much fun!
This is Tiffany’s card.
Tiffany used some elements from the August Paper Pumpkin – the sequins, ribbon, Crumb Cake label and leaves, and linen thread. What? You don’t see Linen Thread? Yeah…I forgot to add it around the Whisper White stamped layer.
The pumpkins, leaves, and sentiment are from the Harvest Hellos Stamp Set in the 2019 Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog. This set is so amazing, because you can stamp pumpkins or apples. And there’s a coordinating punch that you can purchase separately, or you can bundle it with the stamps to save 10%.
I love Tiffany’s design. The circle punched area highlights the pumpkin that’s adhered inside the card. So fun!
This is Marsha’s card.
I love cards that let the Designer Series Paper (DSP) do a lot of the work! Marsha used the beautiful DSP from Sale-a-bration earlier this year. It was a favorite, for sure! The Cajun Craze leaf is from the Gathered Leaves Dies from the Come To Gather Suite in the Holiday Catalog. The dies coordinate with the Gather Together Stamp Set, and, of course, you can bundle the dies and stamps and save 10%.
The final element is the ribbon. It’s the gorgeous Old Olive/Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon in the Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. And since many people are “bow challenged,” Marsha has a fun way to add ribbon without having to tie anything.
I love all the swaps. Here’s a quick recap of all eight of them.
Don’t you agree that everyone did a fabulous job? I’m looking forward to our next event!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
Your ladies are really talented. All the cards are beautiful!
I think everyone did a great job! Thanks, Susan!
I’ve really enjoyed all of the cards you’ve shared this week, Buffy! I especially love that saying 🙂
Thanks, Deborah! And – I know, right? The last…I don’t know how many years of my life…I’ve been saying, “But next week/month/year will be calmer!” And it’s not. But one day…
