Hand-Made Birthday Cards
My birthday was last week, and I received several hand-created birthday cards from friends. Here are a few of them.
First – this is from Susan, 1/3 of our BS&J Stamp-Off Fridays.
I love the freshness of the colors and her beautiful coloring. What a gorgeous job! The shading is beautiful, do you agree?
Here’s the card from Jackie, the other third of BS&J.
Again, Jackie’s colors are beautiful! I love the mix of die-cuts, the lovely enamel accents and the combination of the embossed card base with the Designer Series Paper.
Here’s Peggy’s card.
Peggy loves purple, and so do I. This is such a fun monochromatic card, and I love that butterfly die. And the two little pearls on the butterfly’s body are perfect.
Christy gave me this card.
How fun is that? I love the die-cut flower blossom! And here’s the inside.
Isn’t it clever how she used the die-cut to hold a gift card (which has been removed and tucked into my wallet)? The gift card was for coffee. Christy knows me really well.
I love all my cards, and I have had such a wonderful birthday. Here’s the funny story. Amelia’s birthday is less than a week before mine, so when she noticed a gift bag on my table, she nonchalantly asked, “What’s that?” She was very surprised to discover it wasn’t a gift for her. Actually, she looked at me like I may be trying to pull one over on her!
Speaking of Amelia, Wes & Katelyn spent about a week in Ireland to take part in a wedding. They had a wonderful time, but it was the longest time apart Wesley and Amelia had ever spent. They were both excited to be reunited on Sunday. Her mom helped Amelia make this sign.
Mike had already taken a picture, so when I took mine, she was in “after-smile” mode. Her sign is double sided. If you turn it upside down, you’ll se the pictures she drew of her dad and herself. (Hint: She’s the one with the cat ears, because she’s a “Cat Person” these days. She’s been wearing her cat ears headband every day.)
Today was her first day of swimming lessons; I can’t wait to hear how it went. She loves the water, but was a little concerned about having to swim without water wings.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
