Cow’s it Going?

A few weeks ago, I received this card from my friend Lorraine.

How adorable is that yoga frog? The inside says, “My head says yoga but my heart says cupcakes.” That’s a perfect sentiment for me, because I can easily be distracted from exercise with cupcakes. Or ice cream.

I loved this card so much, I decided to CASE (copy and share everything) it using the Over the Moon Stamp Set from the Stampin’ Up!® 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.

This is definitely a #simplestamping card. It only uses one color of card stock, two ink pads, and a few Stampin’ Blends.

First, create a Whisper White card base from a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock, scored and folded to create a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ card. Cut a 2-3/4″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock, then tear the edge all the way around. You’re just tearing a tiny bit; if you are “tear happy,” you’ll need to cut it a little larger.

Stamp the cow image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, then stamp the grass in Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink. Color the cow with Light Soft Suede, Dark Crumb Cake, Dark Petal Pink, and Bronze Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have Stampin’ Blends, you can easily use Watercolor Pencils for the coloring.

On a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock, stamp the moon using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Color with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, then fussy cut with Paper Snips.

Sponge a little Pear Pizzazz ink over the torn edges of the stamped panel. I didn’t think that was bold enough, so I used a Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Marker to go over the edges after I sponged. Blend the Pear Pizzazz ink into the grass with an Aqua Painter. Add the layer to the card with SNAIL (or your favorite adhesive).

Add the moon to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. My inside sentiment is “Cow’s it going?”
