Pressed Petals
A few weeks ago, I posted about the Stampin’ Up!® Pressed Petals Suite. You can see that here. A few days after I got home from vacation, my order arrived.
I don’t always buy everything in a product suite. And, by the way, have you noticed that the product suites are listed in the front of the 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up!® Catalog? And so are the bundles. Sweet! Anyway – I bought everything in the Pressed Petals Suite. And Stampin’ Up!® has made that very easy by including one number for all the products. So you can tell people (aka your husband who sees yet another Stampin’ Up!® box get delivered to the front porch), “Oh, I only ordered one thing!”
I needed a card for a swap I’m in, and I decided the Pressed Petals Suite would be perfect.
It was hard to pin down which products I wanted to use. They’re all so beautiful! I finally chose the absolutely gorgeous Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP), the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape, the Petal Labels Dies, Designer Elements, and the 1/2 Gathered Ribbon in Rococo Rose and gold.
First, I die-cut the label and oval from Merry Merlot and Rococo Rose Cardstock. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set in Merry Merlot. I wrapped the ribbon around the DSP, then adhered to a Merry Merlot card base.
It needed more. I thought about stamping and die-cutting a flower, but then remembered the Washi Tape. Each piece is a single petal. I used eight of the petals on a 1″ punched circle to create the flower. A Designer Element in the center completed the flower. Such an easy card, but I love the way it turned out.
I can’t wait to play more with this suite – especially the journal – next week. Mike & I always go to the mountains over the 4th of July. It’s quiet and peaceful and we get a lot done. The resort has a festival over the weekend of the 4th, so we’ll probably head down the hill on Saturday. We’ll see how hot it is before we venture out.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Such a pretty card, Buffy. It’s so ‘you’! Music background, pretty pinks, and a flower 🙂

Thanks, Deborah! I didn’t used to be a “pink” girl (except for Blushing Bride). I’m not sure if it’s the new pinks we have or that there’s finally a little girl around here after all the boys I grew up with and raised, but I seem to be heading more and more to the pink section of my colors.

I love those Washi Tape flowers! They look so much prettier on your card than in the catalog. Thanks for the enable!

Always happy to help! I do love that washi. I used 8 petals; I think it’s supposed to be only 6. I like fluffy flowers.
