It’s Your Day
Today is the day you can order from the 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. Ordering begins at noon MT. I have a HUGE wish list, but my plan is to spread it out over the year. There are several things that I really want to see in real life right now, so my patience will be limited. Being able to order 24/7 makes it a little harder to hold back, though! Be sure to use the current host code – JKV732YW – with your online order. If your order is $50 or more, you’ll get a gift from me. If your order is $150 or more, do not use the host code, because you’ll want the Stampin’ Rewards for yourself!
I was looking through my Color Coach the other day and found a really fun color combination. It’s Poppy Parade, Grapefruit Grove, and Night of Navy. At first, I had my doubts, but I love how the Poppy and Grapefruit just pop with the Night of Navy.
First, I stamped the larger flower image from the Painted Harvest Stamp Set on Whisper White Cardstock in Grapefruit Grove Classic Ink two times for each flower, twisting the stamp each time. Then I repeated with the smaller flower image and Poppy Parade Classic Ink. The inside of the flowers is stamped with Early Espresso. I used the little dotted image to fill in with Night of Navy.
After I finished stamping, I ran the card stock through my die-cutting machine with the Subtles Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I stamped the sentiment on Whisper White using Poppy Parade Ink, then layered the stamped card stock to a piece of the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper (DSP) in Grapefruit Grove and then to a Night of Navy card base. The Gingham Gala DSP has retired, but there’s a gorgeous plaid design in the DSP stacks in the new catalog – and you can get it in every color! A little bow made from Grapefruit Grove twine completed the card. The twine is in the Nature’s Twine pack.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day – and have fun shopping from the new catalog!
Buffy, this is wonderful. I love the color combination and the arrangement of images!
Thanks, Jackie! I wasn’t sure about the colors at first, but I love them!
Nice colour combination! Sweet pairing with the gingham
Thanks, Deborah! Where would I be without that Color Coach? I look at some of the ideas and think, “Seriously?” – but they work!
These are great colors together! Love that Gingham DSP!
Thanks, Susan! (Color Coach to the rescue!) And I’m going to miss that paper, although the new DSP stack gingham design is nice.
