Wishing You the Best
This week, I’ve been saying goodbye to some of my favorite products from the 2018-2019 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. I’ll miss using so many of my “old friends.” Today, I have a Floral Frames card for you.
I had so much fun with this card! First, I used some of my favorite colors – Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green, and some of my favorite coloring tools – Stampin’ Blends.
First, I stamped the image on Very Vanilla Cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Then I colored the flowers using Dark Petal Pink and Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. I used Light and Dark Mossy Meadow and Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends for the leaves. I wasn’t sure what color to use on the other greenery. I wanted it kind of silvery looking, but I had just planted some lavender in my “deck garden.” Light purple must have been in my head, because I opted for a Dark Highland Heather Stampin’ Blend.
For the sentiment, I wanted to pull in both the Mossy Meadow and Calypso Coral. Since I was using the Stamparatus, it was easy to color half using a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker and the other half with a Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker. I had never used that stamp (gasp!), so it was a little grainy. I simply inked again with the markers and stamped over the original. **If you don’t have a Stamparatus, you need to add it to your next order!**
After rounding the corners of the Very Vanilla Cardstock, I sponged some Petal Pink on the edges. I tied a piece of Calypso Coral 3/8″ Satin Ribbon around a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper (DSP), then layered the DSP to a Calypso Coral card base. Then I added the stamped layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Everything on this card except the card stock and ink is is retiring June 3, so don’t miss out on your favorites.
Be sure to check back tomorrow for the latest Stamp Off Challenge with Jackie, Susan, and me! I even have a quick video showing another fun and easy technique.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Thanks, Susan! I was happy that the Floral Frames was simple enough it didn’t fight with the DSP!

Thanks, Deborah! It took me a little while to appreciate Petal Pink, but it’s really lovely, especially with Calypso Coral!
