Daisy Lane

Daisy Lane

At Stampin’ Up!® Events, demonstrators always get a complimentary stamp set in their event bags. This year, it was the new Daisy Lane Stamp Set. It’s a lovely set with large and small daisies (and more) – and it coordinates with the Daisy Punch and the Daisy Delight Stamp Set. Plus, there’s a new Medium Daisy Punch that coordinates with one of the images in Daisy Lane. So everything about this set is a win!

I’ve used it a little over the last month since OnStage, but today, I showcased the stamp set on this card.

Daisy Lane, Stampin' Up!

I paired some old and new with this card. First, I die-cut a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the retiring Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP) with the Stitched Lace Die (available June 4). You’re going to want to use the Precision Base Plate with this die, so order it now before it retires!

Next, I painted a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive (using the larger tip). Then I placed the diecut DSP over the glue. And then I sprinkled the entire panel with Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter, and shook off the excess. Sadly, the photo doesn’t show the gorgeousness of the glittery panel. It’s super sparkly!

I stared at the panel for two days before I decided on the Daisy Lane Stamp Set for the focal point. I stamped three of the larger daisies with So Saffron Classic Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock, then punched with the Daisy Punch. I stamped the stem and leaves with Old Olive Classic Ink, also on Very Vanilla Cardstock, then fussy cut with my Paper Snips.

After layering the daisies over the stem, I wanted a flower center that was a little darker than yellow. So I grabbed my Soft Suede Dark Stampin’ Blend and colored a Perennial Essence Floral Center. Perfect!

I added a Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack bow over the stem for a little more shine. I love that gold metallic edge! Finally, I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso Classic Ink. I cut it with my Stampin’ Trimmer, but the squared edges were too pointed for the card, so I rounded them by hand with my Paper Snips.

I added the entire card front to a Mint Macaron card base.

Remember – the Tranquil Textures DSP, Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack, and Precision Base Plate are all retiring on June 3. The Daisy Lane Stamp Set, Stitched Lace Die, and Perennial Essence Floral Centers will be available June 4. Everything else is carrying over.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
