In Color Stamp-Off
Happy Friday! It’s time for another Friday Stamp Off. This week, we’re saying good-bye to the 2017-2019 Stampin’ Up!® In Colors – Fresh Fig, Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, and Tranquil Tide. While I love the 2018-2020 In Colors (Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, and Blueberry Bushel), and am really enjoying the new 2019-2021 In Colors (Pretty Peacock, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, Purple Posy, and Terracotta Tile), I’m going to miss the retiring colors – especially Lemon Lime Twist. It’s such a gorgeous mix of yellow and green.
Here’s my card for the challenge.
I used all five of the retiring In Colors, plus the beautiful (and also retiring) Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) for my card.
First, I stamped the watering can from the Country Home Stamp Set on Watercolor Paper with Jet Back StazOn Ink. Then I stamped the flowers from Vibrant Vases, also in StazOn, masking the top of the can so the stems would be a bit shorter.
I colored the can with Tranquil Tide Classic Ink and an Aqua Painter, and the flowers with Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, and Powder Pink Classic Inks. I added a little Fresh Fig for the shadow. Then I stamped the sentiment from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set in Fresh Fig Classic Ink on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock.
I die-cut the stamped image and the Tranquil Tide layer using the Layering Ovals Dies. Before I added the DSP and ovals to the Very Vanilla layer, I ran the Very Vanilla card stock through the die-cutting machine with the Subtle Embossing Folder. The card base is Fresh Fig.
So bye-bye, Berry Burst. Toodles, Tranquil Tide. Love you, Lemon Lime Twist. Farewell, Fresh Fig. And, parting is such sweet sorrow, Powder Pink. (Yes, I used a thesaurus for Powder Pink.) And lest I forget – So long, Share What You Love DSP. I’ll miss you all. (On the plus side, the Abstract Impressions, Country Home, and Vibrant Vases Stamp Sets are all returning to the 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog.)
Now – head over to Jackie’s and Susan’s blogs to see how they’ve said goodbye to our retiring In Colors.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Thanks, Susan. Yes, I’m going to miss the In Colors, but the new products – So. Much. Love. (I always think of Gidget when I say, “Toodles!” And I just dated myself.)

A great send-off to the retiring colours! Such a pretty card. You put the song “so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye”! in my head 🙂

Thanks, Deborah. And, yeah – now I have that in my head as well. Thanks for that. (At least it’s not the “small world” song.)
