Tea Together for Mother’s Day

Tea Together for Mother’s Day

Happy Wednesday! Today I finally get to share a card with you that I’ve been keeping hidden for two weeks.

Wesley’s girlfriend Katelyn and I had a craft afternoon a few weeks ago, and she made a gorgeous Mother’s Day card for her mom. I took a picture of it, but didn’t want to post until after she gave it to her mom last Sunday. Well – she forgot to give it to her, but her mom knows about it, so I guess I can share.

Tea Together, Stampin' Up!

Katelyn made all of this by herself! I guided a little bit, but the colors, the elements, the design – all Katelyn’s. I’m so proud of her!

Katelyn used the Tea Together Stamp Set from the Stampin’ Up!® Occasions Catalog for the tea cup and sentiment. She stamped the cup using Night of Navy Classic Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, then colored with Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends. When it was totally dry (which doesn’t take long with alcohol markers), she stamped the sentiment, also in Night of Navy Classic Ink, and die cut with the coordinating Tea Time Dies. These were free with a $100 order during Sale-a-bration, but they’ll be back in the 2019-20 Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog beginning June 4.

She used the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper (also from the Occasions Catalog) with some Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon. The Petal Pink vellum under the paper is a new product from the 2019-20 Annual Catalog – Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock. So beautiful! The doily die we used has been retired for some time, but I couldn’t bring myself to part with it. Good thing, right?

Her final touch was the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls and Basic Pearl Jewels. I love the way she placed them. My Katelyn has an eye for detail, and I’m so proud of her. I can’t wait until her mom sees the card in person!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
