Welcome back, my crafting friends! Here are a couple cards we’ll be making at May classes. They use mostly retiring Stampin’ Up!® products. And, oh, my, will I miss them!
Both of these cards use the same products, but they look so much different. So let’s break it down…
The first card uses a design from my awesome friend Susan. Not only is she awesome, but her designs are as well. I used the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper (DSP) with the Celebrate You Dies for this card. I layered a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Pool Party Cardstock to a Tranquil Tide card base. Then I layered a 2″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the Garden Impressions DSP to the card.
Next, I punched three balloons using the Garden Impressions DSP and Balloon Bouquet Punch and adhered them to the card. I added some Night of Navy Medium Baker’s Twine to the balloons for the strings and twine. They’re adhered with Fine-Tip Glue Pen and Glue Dots.
For the final touch, I added the celebrate sentiment using the Celebrate You Dies with Tranquil Tide Cardstock. Here’s another look at that card.
For the second card, I used two identical pieces of the Garden Impressions DSP. I started with 4″ x 5-1/4″ pieces of the DSP, then placed them in my Stampin’ Trimmer with opposite sides on top, then cut a diagonal. Then I placed the top from one piece and the bottom from the other on my Tranquil Tide card base, stretching to give room for the die-cut celebrate. When I was happy with the placement, I trimmed the excess from the top and bottom. (You can use the opposite sides for another card!)
I die-cut the celebrate from Mint Macaron Cardstock then added it to the center of the card, between the DSP layers.Take another peek.
Can a card be any easier? I don’t think so. In case you’re scratching you head, no. There is no stamping on either card. And they are both perfect for so many occasions – anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, and more!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
