Perennial Essence Sneak Peek
This is a rough time of the year for me. The Stampin’ Up!® Retiring List has been released and I have a few new products from the upcoming Annual Catalog. I want to use my retiring sets and give them a little last minute love, but as I looked over my 65 retiring stamp sets (yep. 65), I kept looking longingly at my new and current sets. I finally gave in and picked up the Floral Essence Stamp Set and absolutely gorgeous Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper. This may be my favorite paper ever. It’s so beautiful; each sheet is a work of art.
Isn’t that paper stunning? I wanted to create a card that could be used for a wedding or a graduation, and the Floral Essence Stamp Set had a perfect sentiment for either.
First, I die-cut the butterfly using the Springtime Impressions Dies (good news – these are carrying over to the new Stampin’ Up!® 2019-2020 Annual Catalog!) and Whisper White Cardstock. Then I stamped the flower two times in Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink on Petal Pink Cardstock. If you look at the flower, you can see that one of the petals has only four shadows. If you stamp the image with that petal at the top, it fits perfectly in the Perennial Flower Punch.
After punching the flowers, I layered them together to make a six petal flower. Then I used the Leaf Punch to punch the leaves from Mossy Meadow Cardstock (again – good news. This punch is carrying over as well.). I added one of the Perennial Essence Floral Centers to the top of the punched flower, then the leaves and a Stampin’ Dimensional to the back.
The last element is the sentiment. I stamped the sentiment from the Floral Essence Stamp Set in Versamark Ink on Blackberry Bliss Cardstock and embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. After heat setting and letting it cool, I punched the sentiment with the new Timeless Label Punch. We were given this punch at Stampin’ Up!® CenterStage, a “pre-OnStage” event for leaders. It was in an adorable little pouch that will be perfect for carrying a few blocks, adhesive, Paper Snips, and more to events.
The Floral Essence Stamp Set, Perennial Flower Punch (which can be bundled for a 10% discount!), and Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper and Floral Centers, plus the Timeless Label Punch will all be available June 4 with the new 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. They won’t be in the list of products used on this card since they aren’t available yet.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
