One Sheet Wonder Stamp Off

One Sheet Wonder Stamp Off

Happy Friday, Stamping Friends! This has been a crazy week catching up on business, housework (well, that didn’t really happen), and playing working with new products from the 2019-2020 Stampin’ Up!® Annual Catalog. Truth be told, I spend more time working with new products, but I did have a lot of business related things to catch up on.

Today, though, is a new Stamp Off! Challenge with Susan, Jackie, and me. This week, we have a One Sheet Wonder challenge from Susan.

This is the cutting diagram.

And here are the projects I made with the pieces.

Stampin' Up!, Needle & Thread, Butterfly Gala

Obviously I used one of the pieces on a couple of the projects (the notebook and the pizza box) since I only have four projects and there are five pieces of cut Designer Series Paper (DSP). But this was so much fun! I knew it would be a challenge for me. Cutting DSP is really hard, especially the first cut, so I made these several months ago. You would think that I would have created the blog post right after I made the projects while they were fresh in my mind, wouldn’t you? Well, that would have been the smart thing, but, well…It’s 10 p.m. Thursday night and the blog post is due at 6 a.m. tomorrow. Jackie and Susan have had their posts scheduled for months, I know. I keep our team balanced.

I used the Needlepoint Nook DSP and Needle & Thread Stamp Set (bundled, of course) along with the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and Butterfly Duet Punch (again bundled) for this challenge. Both of these bundles are in the Stampin’ Up!® 2019 Occasions Catalog. The Needle & Thread Stamp Set and Needlepoint Elements Dies will be retiring, but the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set and Butterfly Duet Punch are carrying over to the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. (The bundle price, however, will be ending, so if you want to save 10%, order the bundle by June 3.)

Here are the individual projects.

Stampin' Up!, Daisy Delight, Needlepoint Nook
I added the Daisy Delight Stamp Set and Daisy Punch for this card. I love how the Highland Heather Daisy (stamped in Gorgeous Grape) pops against the Petal Pink card base. Remember that not only are the Needle & Thread Stamp Set, Needlepoint Elements Dies, and Needlepoint Nook DSP retiring, but so is everything Berry Burst. If you love it, be sure to order it soon before it runs out. This card uses the 2″ x 5-1/4″ piece of the DSP.

Stampin' Up!, Needlepoint Nook, Butterfly Gala

Don’t you love the little Pizza Boxes? I covered the box with the 2-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ piece of the Needlepoint Nook DSP, then added a Pearlized Doily and punched butterflies. Good news – the Pizza Boxes, Pearlized Doilies, and Gingham Gala Self-adhesive Sequins are all carrying over to the new catalog.

Stampin' Up!, Needlepoint Nook, Needle & Thread

This is a little note card in Highland Heather using the 1-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ strip of the Needlepoint Nook DSP and some of the stamped and die-cut flowers and leaves from the Needle & Thread Bundle. I trimmed the DSP a little since the card is 3-1/2″ x 5″.

Stampin' Up!, Butterfly Duet, Needle & Thread

This little notebook uses the 3/4″ x 3-1/4″ piece of DSP for the top. It fit perfectly! I used the final piece of 2-3/4″ x 2-1/2″ DSP to punch the butterflies on the Pizza Box and Notebook.

The take-away from this post is – stop hoarding your DSP! If you love it, cut it up and use it on projects. It’s too beautiful to just sit in your craft room for a year. Show it some love! (That little pep talk was for me. I still have some DSP that’s about to retire. So sad!)

Now, please check out what Jackie and Susan have done with this challenge. I cannot wait to see what paper they used and what they’ve made.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
