Hi, Stamping friends! My Product Purchase Premiere (PPP) order from Stampin’ Up!® arrived yesterday, and I’ve been having a blast playing with the new products! Demonstrators who attend a Stampin’ Up!® OnStage event have the opportunity to pre-preorder products from the upcoming Stampin’ Up!® catalogs. In this case, it’s the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. Other products will be available during the preorder period for all demonstrators in May.
I had a hard time choosing what I wanted to purchase for the PPP. Let me rephrase that. I had a hard time choosing what I didn’t want to purchase for the PPP, because I have a preorder budget. Seriously, I am loving all the new products. But my absolute favorite suite from the new catalog is the Come Sail Away Suite. (Disclaimer: This is my favorite suite today. I may have a new favorite tomorrow, and the next day, and the next…I really am in love with the new catalog!)
This suite is perfect for anyone, but it also incorporates water and the beach, so I’m all in for this one! I pre-preordered the entire suite of products that was offered for the PPP on this one. It was also used in one of the make & takes at OnStage, and I promised to show you the card when my order arrived.
I love this card so much. First, it’s a note card, so it’s a fun size to send. There’s a piece of the Come Sail Away DSP on the front cover of the note card, then another piece over that. Having the different designs of DSP in coordinating but different colors adds so much interest to a card.
First, I stamped the lighthouse image in Night of Navy Classic Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Then I die-cut it with the Smooth Sailing Dies. I used the Smooth Sailing Dies to die-cut the wheel from Crumb Cake Cardstock as well. This die cuts and embosses the image! My die-cutting machine is new and pretty tight, but you may need a shim to get the embossing on your die-cut. Simply add a piece of card stock at the top of your sandwich and you should be ok.
I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy Classic Ink on Balmy Blue Cardstock, then die-cut with the Smooth Sailing Dies. And finally, I used an Aqua Painter and Balmy Blue Classic Ink to wash the sky on a piece of Watercolor Paper. When it was dry, I added a compass stamp in Crumb Cake in the background.
To finish the card, I layered the die-cut lighthouse and wheel to the Watercolor Paper layer, then added the sentiment layer to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The watercolor layer was added to the DSP, and then that was added to a larger layer of DSP over the front of the Note Card. The last embellishments were the anchor from the Sail Away Trinkets and the Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine and a rope die-cut from Soft Suede Cardstock.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
(Please note that the product list will not include the PPP products – Sailing Home Stamp Set, Smooth Sailing Dies, Come Sail Away DSP, Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine, and Sail Away Trinkets.)
