It’s a rainy Thursday here in Virginia, so that means it’s a great day to craft! Some of the ladies from class were looking at my display cards yesterday and they noticed one that used embossing paste. They asked if we could use the paste next month so I thought I’d play around a bit today. The end result? A card with three kinds of embossing!
I made a stencil using the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies and a Window Sheet. So fun! Then I used the Shimmery White Embossing Paste and a Palette Knife to spread on the paste.
For a little extra fun, I added some Gold Embossing Powder over the paste before it dried. I didn’t want to cover it; I just wanted a little gold shimmer in places. I love the way it turned out, with the shimmer in the paste showing through the heat embossing.
I adhered a piece of Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the left side of the card, and then decided it needed a little something else. Making sure the Lovely Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder only covered the part of the card with the DSP, I ran it through the Big Shot.
Finally, I added a few of the flowers and leaves from the Oh, So Eclectic Stamp Set. The flowers are stamped in Berry Burst on Blushing Bride Cardstock, and the leaves are stamped in Mossy Meadow on Mossy Meadow Cardstock. I die-cut them with the Eclectic Layers Thinlits Dies.
The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays, one of the sets in the 2019 Occasions Catalog. I stamped on Whisper White Cardstock using Mossy Meadow Classic Ink, then punched with the Everyday Label Punch and trimmed the top and bottom off. I think this looks like our retired Word Window Punch, don’t you?
Tomorrow is a challenge day with Susan, Jackie, & me. Be sure to stop in and check out what we have for you!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
