All Adorned in Merlot & Gray

Adorned in Merlot & Gray

Hi, Stampers! I hope you’ve had a lovely week. I can’t believe it’s Friday already!

I was stamping some card for classes this week and I decided to use the Stampin’ Up!® All Adorned Stamp Set from the Sale-a-bration Second Release. Check this out –

All Adorned, Artisan Textures, Stampin' Up!I wanted to use Merry Merlot and Gray Granite, so I created these cards. I asked Mike which he liked better, and he hesitated. “They both look the same,” he finally said. I had to point out that I stamped the two stamps differently. They’re both stamped in Merry Merlot and Gray Granite on Whisper White Cardstock,  but I stamped one stamp in Merry Merlot on one card, but on the second I stamped the same stamp in Gray Granite. Do you see the difference? It’s very subtle, But I like the card on the right better. (If you’re coming to classes in March, this is the one we’re making!)

I stamped the more round image in Merry Merlot, then the angular image in Gray Granite. Then I stamped the striped image from the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Textures Stamp Set in Smoky Slate (I stamped off one time, then stamped in “second generation” and “third generation”, then repeated one more time). Finally I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray Classic Ink.

For the card on the left, I stamped the more angular image in Merry Merlot, then stamped the rounder image in Gray Granite. (The rest of the card is the same.) Although they look very similar, I like the image on the right a lot more. What do you think?

I stamped the sentiment (also from the Stampin’ Up! All Adorned Stamp Set) in Basic Gray Classic Ink on the bottom left, then added the Whisper White Layer to a Merry Merlot card base.

I love this design, don’t you? You can change the sentiment to make this card perfect for almost any occasion and for anybody (male, female, child…). And the best thing is one of the stamps is free with a $50 order! This is a perfect card for beginner stampers, because it’s a #simplestamping card. But more advanced stampers can add layers and ribbon and embellishments! Stampin’ Up!® has products for everyone.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!

Poor Mike – maybe he thought you were checking to see if he was paying attention! I do like the one on the right the best, although both are beautiful

He did have that “deer in the headlights” look. Kind of like the first time I said, “Does this make me look too fat?” When he started answering, “No, just fat enough,” I stopped asking. (It really wasn’t a fair question!)

I think Mike probably thought it was a trick question. I know Rob would. I like the one on the right better but they are both beautiful!
