Beautiful Day Butterfly
One of the things I love best about being a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator is the friendships I’ve made with other demonstrators. I have friends all over the world who share my passion for paper crafts. There’s Susan in New York, Joanne in Hawaii, Jackie in Ohio, Mary in Massachusetts, Pam in Pennsylvania, and so many more. Most are in the US, but I also have lots of friends in Australia, Europe, and Canada. Plus I have a downline in Japan who I totally love (yeah, Chris, that’s you!).
Our Demonstrator Development Manager in the Southeast US (take that, other states in the South. Virginia is a southern state! This has been a debate for at least a century.) issued an invitation for us to swap with other demonstrators in our region. I sent a swap to a demonstrator in Florida, and I received this swap from a demonstrator in Virginia.
Oh, my gosh! How gorgeous is this swap? Sheron Rigg stamped the butterfly image from the Beautiful Day Stamp Set on Watercolor Paper using a Versamark Pad, then embossed with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Then she colored the image using (I’m guessing…) Rich Razzleberry, Blackberry Bliss, Pineapple Punch, Balmy Blue, and Blueberry Bushel classic inks. She tore the paper to about 3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″. Then she adhered it to a x 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of a Silver Foil Sheet, then to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Blueberry Bushel Cardstock.
She used the Celebrate You Thinlits to create the amazing sentiment from Silver Foil Sheets. Then she added the card to a Whisper White card base.
I was totally “wowed” when I saw this card. Of course I’m going to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) this card. It’s too gorgeous not to, don’t you think?
Thank you, Sheron, for the beautiful card! And thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy! Have a lovely day.
