Be Mine

Be Mine

Happy Valentine’s Day! This card is for a challenge for our Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Team Meeting tonight, so I was going to wait until tomorrow to post it, but that would be a little anti-climactic, I think, so you get to see it today.

This is a CASE from Cindi Clarke, another Stampin’ Up!® demonstrator. I changed a few things, but the idea is mostly hers.

First, I diecut the heart from the free Sale-a-bration Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets using the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies from the 2019 Occasions Catalog. The Grapefruit Grove & Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets are a Level 1 Sale-a-bration item (free with a $50 order), and you get four sheets of each color. That’s huge!

Next I ran the inside heart through the Big Shot with the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (DTIEF). You may remember that this was a free product added in the second release last February. You can still order it, because it’s in the 2018-19 Annual Catalog, but you have to pay for it now.

I used the small flowers die in the Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies to cut the little flowers from Blushing Bride and Old Olive Cardstock. I had to do a little snipping and gluing, but they turned out quite well. I added those to the card with  little adhesive and added a Very Vanilla bow from the Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack under the flowers. To complete the heart, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set onto Very Vanilla Cardstock using Lovely Lipstick Classic Stampin’ Ink, then used Paper Snips to cut out the word love.

I embossed a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock using the beautiful new Lace DTIEF from the Occasions Catalog, then layered that to a Very Vanilla card base. I adhered the embossed heart to the front of the card, then added the scalloped border around the heart.

I love this card, because it can be used for so many things. In an earlier post I mentioned that I would save all love cards I didn’t use for Valentine’s Day to give to Mike. Well, I ended up giving one away, and since this will go to the challenge winner, I don’t have quite as many love cards for him as I thought I would. Guess I’d better get back at it, because I have a lot of foil to use!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day. I have a meeting tonight, so Mike took me out to dinner Wednesday. What a sweetheart! He is definitely a keeper, right? We had a lovely, relaxing time.

Such a beautiful card, Buffy! All of the embossing is gorgeous; gives it almost a Victorian feel.
