Picture Perfect Birthday
I love the sentiments in the Stampin’ Up!® Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set. They’re so fun and are appropriate for anyone’s birthday. I used this set for a #simplestamping birthday card.
A few weeks ago, my friend Susan posted a whole week’s worth of #simplestamping cards that only took a few minutes to create. All of them were gorgeous and used our lovely Designer Series Paper (DSP). This layout was one of her sketches.
First, cut the DSP (I used the Share What You Love Specialty DSP) so the bottom is a diagonal and adhere to a Whisper White card base. Ink an acrylic stamp block with Petal Pink Classic Stampin’ Ink, then spritz with a bit of water and “stamp” on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Set this aside until it dries completely.
While your cardstock is drying, stamp Happy Birthday from the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set in the Stampin’ Up! 2018-19 Annual Catalog on the bottom of the card base. Then stamp the line of asterisks underneath with Petal Pink Classic Ink. If you use the Stamparatus, you can stamp several times to get a nice depth of color.
Be sure that your Petal Pink watercolored layer is dry. If it’s still a little damp, wait a few minutes or use a Heat Tool to speed up the drying process. Stamp the sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Again, if you use your Stamparatus, you’ll be sure to get perfect coverage. Trim this layer if you need to, then adhere it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
This is a super easy card, and the best part is it’s easy to change the paper, ink, and stamp set to get a totally different card. It’s such a versatile and simple layout. (Thanks, Susan!)
Hope you’re thawing out from the big freeze last week. We are having lovely temperatures the next few days, and our snow from the weekend is almost gone. We had a sleepover with our granddaughter Amelia tonight, complete with pizza, popcorn and two movies. Actually, it was more like 1-1/2 movies. We watched half of her choice, and then she decided we could switch to Mike’s choice. I love these times with her.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
