Attention Sewers
Ok, if you’re like my weird older brother, when you see “sewers” you don’t think about sewing and stitching. You think about something a lot different. But I’m shouting out to those who love to sew and do stitched crafts.
When I was younger and had better eyesight, I loved to do cross stitch. I had several projects going for my mom and grandmother. The sad thing about this is if you get a block or two off, you have to pick out a lot of thread and start over. I’m not that patient. I still have a cute project for Mom that has been sitting in our storage area for about 30 years. One of the ladies at the Assisted Living Facility where I volunteer has offered to finish it for me, and I’m going to take her up on that offer.
Today, I’m focusing on the Needlepoint Nook Suite in the Stampin’ Up!® Occasions Catalog. What a fun suite! I love the paper, the Needle & Thread Stamp Set, the Needlepoint Elements Framelits Dies (that you can bundle with the stamps and save 10%), the thread, and the buttons. I actually have every element of this suite. (Just for the record, that never happens. I usually pick and choose what I love from a suite. This time – I have it all!)
When I was much, much younger, my mom taught me to sew. I loved making my own clothes and little gifts for others. Over the years, sewing has taken a back seat to other crafts. While my mom and grandmother were amazing “sewers,” I was not. I didn’t have the patience and usually made a huge mistake that had to be picked out because I was rushing. I also did not have the patience for “picking out,” so a lot of my sewing projects were thrown out or finished by Mom, who is the most patient person I know.
Still, sewing is in my roots and I love it, so I ordered the whole suite before I know what I was doing. But it’s a beautiful suite and there is so much detail in the paper and other products.
Take a few minutes to check out this video by Stampin’ Up!® to learn a little more about this suite and how it was created. Then be sure to add it to your next order!
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
Haha! I must be weird too. I thought to myself “why is Buffy talking about sewers?”. Maybe they had so much rain that their sewer backed up.

😂😂😂 There has to be a better word for someone who does needle and tread crafts! I could say needlecrafters, but my kids would probably think I was talking about tattoo artists.

I know. Just when I think I have everything I need/want, along comes something else.
