Incredible Like You
Contrary to what the Facebook quiz results say, I really don’t watch a lot of television. There are a few shows I like – NCIS, New Amsterdam, Blue Bloods, Bull, The Blacklist (wow, it seems like a lot when you list them out!) – but if I miss them, it’s not a big deal. Especially since I can watch them later on DVR. I also record My Three Sons every morning. I love that show! It was one of our favorites when I was a kid.
However, I have become a huge fan of Netflix. Oh, I don’t watch it much, but Mike has some Netflix shows he likes and has been binge-watching this weekend, so I don’t feel guilty spending hours at a time in my craft room! Our lives are so crazy, so when we have time to spend together, I like to take advantage. But, hey – I’m happy that he had a good time watching The Punisher, because I got a lot done this weekend.
A few weeks ago I posted about the Incredible Like You Project Kit. I love all the cards. You can see the post here. And here’s another quick peek at the four card designs.
Everything you need to make these beautiful cards is in the box except for the stamp set, ink, scissors, and some adhesive. And if you’re interested in creating them, let me know! If you order the kit, we can get together to create the cards, because I have the stamps and ink!
I used one of the card designs as inspiration and created this birthday card using the Incredible Like You Stamp Set.
It was surprisingly easy to create. First, I created a mask from the large flower using a post-it note. I broke my rule and stamped the lighter color first (on Whisper White Cardstock), because the stamp was already on a block since I used it for the mask. So you can see that after I stamped the Gorgeous Grape over the Highland Heather flower, it’s not perfectly lined up. Others may not have this problem, but with my old eyes, stamping the darker color first works better for me. Still, it’s a handmade card, so it doesn’t have to be factory perfect, right?
I masked the flowers, then stamped leaves and stems in Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz ink. (And you know this time I used the Old Olive first!) Then I added little blossoms in Melon Mambo (stamped off first) and Flirty Flamingo.
I made sure to leave about 1″ to 1-1/2″ between the two sets of flowers. I didn’t measure; I just left a space. Then I cut some Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper (DSP) from Highland Heather to cover the gap.
The sentiment is stamped in Gorgeous Grape on Whisper White Cardstock. I punched it with the Everyday Label Punch, but it covered too much of the flowers. I cut a bit off the top and bottom to make it fit better, then added it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, I added a little bow using the Blackberry Bliss twine from the Nature’s Twine pack and layered the Whisper White layer to an Old Olive card base.
This card was really easy to create. It took a little longer because of the masking and multiple flowers, stems, and leaves, but it wasn’t difficult at all. Here’s one more look.
Here’s the fun part. If you purchase the Incredible Like You Stamp Set, Nature’s Twine, Everyday Label Punch, and the Gingham Gala DSP, you can select a Level 1 Sale-a-bration product free! How cool is that? Sadly, you cannot add the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack right now, as it’s been more popular than anyone could have imagined. It will be back for a short while, however, and I’ll let you know when you can add it to your order. (Be quick, though, because once that shipment sells out, it will be gone.) There are lots of other amazing products in the Sale-a-bration brochure, and more will be added February 15. Don’t you just love Sale-a-bration?
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have an incredible day!

I like the split image, with the sentiment in the middle! The kit looks great, too.
