Shop Your Heart Out
Here’s a fun and simple card to get you ready for the Stampin’ Up!® Online Extravaganza. The event begins today and lasts through next Wednesday (November 28). There are three sales, and each lasts for two days. You can read more here, and check out each day’s sale items here. Basically, by the end of the Extravaganza, almost everything in the Stampin’ Up!® 2018-19 Annual Catalog will have been discounted 10%.
Here’s the card to inspire your shopping spree.
First, use an Aqua Painter to thoroughly wet the Watercolor Paper. Then, pick up a little Melon Mambo Classic Ink from the lid of the stamp pad and paint the Watercolor Paper. Easy! I used lots of color at the top to create an ombré look.
While the watercolor wash is drying, stamp the small flower from the Time for Tea Stamp Set multiple times in Versamark Ink on a Berry Burst card base.
When the paper is completely dry, stamp the shopping, bag, and sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I used my Stamparatus® so I could stamp it several times to get a really good image. (Hint: If you’re stamping the image and sentiment at the same time, you may want to remove the sentiment from the Stamparatus® after the first or second stamping so it doesn’t get too dark. It’s also a good idea to place all the stamps in place before stamping so you’re sure you have lots of room for your sentiment.)
Adhere the stamped layer to a slightly larger panel of Basic Black, then add to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
This is a quick and elegant card you can whip up in a jiffy! You can step it up by adding a little Designer Series Paper, some ribbon or other embellishments, and maybe coloring part of the bag or the tissue paper with a Stampin’ Write Marker.
Now that you’re motivated, take advantage of the Online Extravaganza to stock up on craft products! You can enjoy Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals – plus four more days – without having to leave home. I don’t know about you, but shopping outside today in cold weather isn’t an option.
Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy! Have a lovely day!
I love the ombre look. Cute card! (Did you shop today?)
Thanks, Susan! I started to say no, I didn’t shop. But I did buy a pair of shoes online. Still time to browse the OE products!!
Great card for Black Friday – we need a stamp that says ‘happy shopping’! 🙂

That would be a great stamp – especially if it was with a gift card or money holder.
