Rooted in Nature and Clearance Rack Update

Stampin' Up! Clearance Rack

Good news! The Stampin’ Up!® Clearance Rack has been updated! If you loved Fast Fuse, now is a good time to stock up; refills are available for $3.50! But hurry – supplies are limited and once they’re gone you won’t be able to order them. You can add current Stampin’ Up!® products to your order as well, of course.

One of my favorite products in the Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog is the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It’s perfect for fall projects, especially when used with the new Galvanized Metallic Paper.

For today’s card, I used Cooper Foil instead of the Galvanized Metallic Paper. It worked a little better with the colors in the card. (But you can be sure I’ll show you the Galvanized paper soon!)

Rooted in Nature, Stampin' Up!This is one of the cards for September classes. I used a Jet Black Stāzon pad to add ink to the Gold Foil sheet. I didn’t want it totally covered; I just wanted a hint of distress. The Stāzon pad I used was a little on the dry side, and I think that worked a little better, because it didn’t add a whole lot of ink.

I heat-set the foil, just to be sure the Stāzon wouldn’t transfer to my embossing folder, then ran the strip through Big Shot with the Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The sentiment from Rooted in Nature is stamped in Early Espresso Classic Ink on a Crumb Cake oval that I die-cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. I also stamped the trees – also from Rooted in Nature – in Shaded Spruce Classic Ink. I stamped off one time so they wouldn’t overwhelm the sentiment. Because I used my Stamparatus with the sentiments, I could be sure they would both fit on the oval die-cut.

Between the embossed foil strip and the colors of the cardstock, trees, and sentiments, this card seemed to scream for some Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. I love the way they work together! I adhered it to a Merry Merlot card base.

I seem to be sending a lot of thinking of you and sympathy cards lately. More often than not, I use butterflies or flowers, so this is a perfect card to send to a man or to a couple.

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Don’t forget to check out my online store for super deals, as well as the Holiday and Annual catalogs. Have a lovely day.

I love how you added the Stazon to the foil paper. That is a great technique I might have to borrow!

Terrific card, and tip for adding colour to the embossing.
