Colorful Seasons and High Tides at the Waterfront

Colorful Seasons and High Tides at the Waterfront

One thing I love about Stampin’ Up!® is the way products coordinate. For this card I made for my college roommate’s birthday, I used the Colorful Seasons, High Tide, and Waterfront stamp sets, as well as the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.

Colorful Seasons, Waterfront, High Tide, Stampin' Up!

First, I stamped the tree branch and flowers from Colorful Seasons using Soft Suede and Poppy Parade classic ink. Then I stamped the sun in Daffodil Delight and the water in Bermuda Bay. I got a little carried away with the water, so I didn’t have a lot of room for a Sahara Sand beach, but the water is more fun anyway, right?

I sponged Balmy Blue over the top half of the card for sky, then added the birds from High Tide in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I decided to add a few Waterfront splatters to the sea in Whisper White Craft Ink.

My Stamparatus came in really handy for the sentiment. I wanted to emboss the word shine, but I didn’t want to emboss the rest. I stamped the entire sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento, then cleaned the stamp without removing it from the Stamparatus. I inked just the word shine with Versamark Ink, then sprinkled embossing powder over it and heated. Perfect!

The final touch was the Coastal Cabana Adirondack chair. I love that die-cut from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. I also added a little retired glitter glue (Dazzling Details) to the centers of the flowers. It’s so quick and easy to use; I stocked up before it retired.
