A Tropical Birthday

A Tropical Birthday

I have a birthday coming up, and I’ve received a couple cards already. I love getting cards in the mail. Whenever I see a 4-3/8″ x 5-3/4″ envelope in the mail, I know it’s going to be good.

I’m always impressed when someone sends me a birthday, anniversary, or Christmas card and it’s early. I’m happy if I get them to the person on time! I can’t count how many years my Christmas cards have been turned into New Year’s (or Valentine’s) ones.

My first birthday card this year was from my friend Rose. Rose is one of my downline who signed up for some of the benefits. She wasn’t sure she’d make it through her first quarter – but she’s killing it in sales! I’m so proud of her. She held a class for her sister, and now she’s hooked. Rose has a tremendous personality and is so very creative. Here’s the card she sent.

Stampin' Up!

This card made me wish I was on a beach in the tropics. It’s so lovely and peaceful. I could feel the sea breezes and smell the coconut lotion and salt air.

This card is perfect in so many ways. First – it’s so classic and lovely. Second – it looks like it took hours to make, but I don’t think it did. It’s a perfect card for beginning or advanced stampers. And it’s a design that you can use over and over with different papers and colors. It’s a perfect card to make lots of to keep on hand for birthdays and other celebrations.

Rose used the Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper with the Tropical Thinlits Dies to create the background for this gorgeous card. The greeting – in Shaded Spruce on Granny Apple Green – is punched with the Everyday Label Punch. And then there are the beautiful Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets from the upcoming Stampin’ Up!® Holiday Catalog. Gorgeous!

This card just makes me happy! Stay tuned for at least one more awesome birthday card that arrived today!

Thanks for stopping by Stamping with Buffy. Have a lovely day!
